Important note !!!

Good story. Acting's a bit wooden but I expect it to get better in the next episodes.

Surprise ending --- > BUT!

What happened to the headless body? Are we supposed to believe nobody happened to notice it in a plowed field in rural Lincolnshire?

Lincolnshire's not exactly the Gobi Desert or the Australian Outback. I'm guessing somebody would report such a grizzly find to the authorities. Especially the body of a teenage girl.

It's not the kind of thing you come across all the time, right?

Rob Lowe in Boston, Lincolnshire.

This is the premise of this fish out of water drama. Bill Hixon is an ace Miami cop who has become the new chief constable of East Lincolnshire police. He will implement budget cuts and job losses. So he sure is going to be a popular guy.

Straight off the bat he is investigating a murder when a decapitated head of a teenage woman is found in a fridge. It looks like she died 10 years ago and she was involved in growing weed.

Possible suspects could be her Polish boyfriend or a Russian gangster.

Wild Bill hints at gritty drama as well as comedy. It has the black humour of the Channel 4 series No Offence.

Of course there is a back story as to why Bill has turned up in England with his teenage daughter. There are people in the force in England who want to see the back of him and a video is uncovered of Bill beating up some college sportsman in Miami.

Rob Lowe has considerable charm but he was a bit unsure of himself in the opening episode. The writing was a bit clunky in places, in fact it was all rather messy as it tried to do so many things.
