So?!

It's just a well crafted tension short and I didn't find it that deep like some people have said

the tension craft

I am teacher. So, I saw this short film as a possible situation when an exercise become more. And this gives to me a nuanced perspective about the drama of Simon or thhe dilemmas - responsabilities of Eva or about the talk in teacher room. The best part - absence of the end. The lead virtue - the well crafted tension. The powerful detail - all the pieces defining isolation. So, more than a good film.

A taut little thriller

Warning: Spoilers
I spoke to a group of students at a grade school recently and during my speech there was a "code red" shooting simulation where the students had to go in a room and hide under the desks. I thought it so sad that children would have to be taught to do this. School shootings are so common place now that they barely shock anymore and that is tragic. This little film tells the story of Eva Walker a tired burnt out teacher who is caught up in a nightmare in the daylight when a school shooter drill becomes a terrifying reality. The last part is where a terrified student is in the hall where the shooter is and is banging on the door begging for her to let him in. There is good acting from the one playing the teacher and the ones playing the students especially the one at the end who is trapped in the hall banging on the door.
