Sathyam Paranja Viswasikkuvo (Believe It or Not) is that kind of a social drama for families set in a Kerala village that shows the low side of the protagonist, puts him in the centre of an incident that takes up one full hour, and then attempts to convert those lows into highs with a sticky moral at the end and it tends to work sometimes because of the occasional comedy (one of the best opening sequences I have seen in a Malayalam comedy film in 2019)) and the commendable performances of the entire cast, mainly Biju Menon who can make me smile and cry at the same time. TN.

Fair Movie

The narrative has some gaping holes here and there, but it can be overlooked as the focus here is on another profound storyline. Without any big twists or turns, the movie manages to keep one engaged.
With right flavours, Sathyam Paranja Viswasikkuvo is fairly enjoyable.

"Sathyam Parajal Vishwasikkumo"
Malayalam movie.
Story of a simpleton mason worker, his difficulties to make life ends meet, his alcoholic habits, a small turn of misunderstanding events leading to a police case...all in the thread of the project. Biju Menon as the mason shows acting abilities to the maximum, unlike his roles with comical touches, here he's very serious and drunk. Samyuktha Varma on her comeback movie proved her mettle again. Strong dialogues suiting the situations elevated the content of the presentation. Simplicity of the presentation is pronounced throughout, even though, they're telling us a serious matter, the simplicity is maintained.
7.5 on 10 for this family drama. Biju Menon fans will be left disappointed b'coz he's not funny in this character. Alencier as Biju's companion supported the cast well.
Overall, a feel good movie with a melodrama touch, no comics, only serious stuff... 'How to stop your alcohol habit'
