Irritating detailing
cockingj22 August 2020
Spoilt by silly details.. who arrives in an Alaskan town as the new doctor in a mini dress and stiletto heels, with no coat?! Irritating lack of context which distracted from the storyline.

Poor Production Details
FridayGal7 June 2021
The production details also bothered me, distracting from the action. The costume designer doesn't know you need a coat in Alaska because it's cold? Or that most people clean out a long-closed office in jeans & a sweatshirt or sweater (it's Alaska!). The finished clinic doesn't look like any Ive ever seen - apothecary bottles in the waiting room? All the shelving was pretty but they made me wonder if the clinic was also the pharmacy, not a waiting room. I did like the two lead actors but thought it funny that a big deal was made over his red hair! The PTSD issue was a nice plot addition.

love Alaska

Why does up cast Joey Fatone he is such a bad actor not funny either other cast is fine. Women professionals are so cold unfeeling Maggie is nice but not a real good actress. Love Finn he is dealing with a lot needs empathy which Maggie is not good at to be a Doctor. She seems resentful of sharing Clinic with Finn that Uncle Tobias left them. Sarah and Victor are good together .Emma the Australian actress and Joey Fatone really deserve each other both so dingy.

Poor effort
Jackbv12321 March 2021
Simple story. Doctor returns to her home town to take over late uncle's medical practice. Her high school sweetheart has to work with her to restore the uncle's rundown clinic. The ex has PTSD from military service. That's the plot. To fill it out a little, there's a bachelor auction in conjunction with the town's promotion as a place to fall in love. There are no highs or lows or surprises.

The romantic relationship isn't worth the effort. The movie isn't horrible, it just isn't any good.

The character Finn they made him to angry or two depressed thru the whole mov

Warning: Spoilers
This movie could've been like a seven on it. It was great great storyline vying for everything, but the character Finn reacting was great, except for the actor who played So Finn ruined this movie it was either yelling, angry or playing the depressed. I don't know if that's the actors fault, or the writing but it was awful. The other thing was his whole thing of I don't want to hurt you or you would tell people I don't want to hurt her any more than me I have was like the stupidest thing he could say because he already like hurt her like three or four times in the movie, you don't like saying in front of a story purse store we're just friends we will never ever date like stuff like that. She like argues to sing now because she wants to pursue something with him. He just blows it off so the way the writing for the character in the acting of the actors ability really kill this movie and it's sad because other than that it could've been a really good movie .

Victor does an amazing job portraying a veteran!
carlatrnr27 October 2019
I enjoyed this movie from the first few minutes of viewing.. it was not the same old plot we see in so many T. V. movies... enjoyed all the actors in their roles... especially Victor Zinck jr.. his portrayal of a Veteran dealing with PTSD was some of the best acting I have seen anywhere in YEARS! .. and actually the chemistry between he and Sarah was amazing.. This is one you're not going to want to miss!!

Pretty good movie
jewhitmer2528 July 2021
Plot -former redident returne to town to reopen her late uncle's medical practice. Her high school ex is in town too.

This was a Harlequin movie, but it was reminiscent of the Hallmark movie "Christmas Under Cover'" starring Candace Cameron Bure. Both female leads are doctors, and both arrive in Alaska totally underdressed for the weather. It's Alaska people, it's covered in snow, it's cold, costume departments (for both movies) put those people in coats, boots and mittens.

Ok, enough of that. I really enjoyed this movie. I have never seen eother of the leads in any movie, however they were awesome. Their chemistry was immediate and real. Victor Zinck Jr as Finn did a superb job of portraying a veteran suffering from PTSD, he did a great acting job. Sarah Podemski did an excellant job as Maggie. Supporting characters / actors were great too. Especially Joey Fatone as Hank, he was a hoot.

My advice; Watch this movie.

Steamy!

This romance will thaw any frozen heart! I love rom-coms set in different locations, Alaska doesn't get enough love. The connection is so strong between Sarah Podernski and Victor Zinck you can feel it through the screen.

Victor Zinck Jnr makes this film come alive
elizabeth-0751331 August 2023
Victor Zinck Jr is a highly talented actor who makes his character in this film really believable. You can almost read his mind just from a twitch of an eyebrow or a narrowing of the eyes - he doesn't need five pages of dialogue to convey a message or a mood, unlike a lot of so called leading men!

The story is good and definitely a cut above the usual romance movie, but would love to see Victor in still more 'meaty' lead roles - he obviously has the acting ability to rise to such challenges.

Not hard to look at either (especially liked the beard) and will certainly be looking out for other movies starring him in future.

Victor Zinck Jnr makes this film come to life
elizabethsharp-5958926 August 2023
Better story line than most 'Romantic' movies, but the film is special thanks to the acting of Victor Zinck Jnr as Finn.

You get more understanding of a situation from five seconds of focus on Victors face, than from hearing a dozen pages of dialogue spoken by other so called 'leading' men! You feel you can actually read his mind from just a lift of the eyebrow, a clench of the teeth or a sweet smile, He comes across as though he is a lovely person in real life too.

Definitely not hard to look at and his acting makes it believable that he and Sarah could actually have had a relationship.

Definitely needs more leading roles - he's too good to be a supporting actor for idiots who just THINK they're good!

Beautiful scenery the lady doctor seems a little cold and the guy with PTSD really plays the part as if he experienced that trauma Should leave Joey Fatone out he is an awful actor .

The giddy woman Emma acts like a teenager so silly for a woman her age.
