I think my biggest issue with the episode of something that has been building throughout the season. Col. Haley. I know we're supposed to hate her. What bugs me though is that the DEO doesn't seem to be part of the military. It's more like the CIA. So why would a Colonel have power over the director? It's just one of those things that doesn't make sense to me and really bothers me and makes me find a show about aliens even more unrealistic.

I am a huge fan of this show and Melissa Benoist. I think she is the greatest superhero on the small screen, and a super-inspiration to superhero fans everywhere. I support this show very strongly, incl. its focus on female characters. But, when a story starts to take questionable turns, I have to speak up. This fourth season is the weakest season yet, but I am still rating the episodes something like 7.5 to 8 on average. "Suspicious Minds", however, made a terrible mistake towards the end. Erase Alex's knowledge that Kara (her sister!) is Supergirl?!! That is so completely and utterly abominable that it beggers description! Alex has known all her life that Kara is a Kryptonian with powers, and she may also have known about Superman. It is far, far too complicated and immoral to change her brain enough that she will no longer know that Kara is Supergirl. It is a major, life-altering *violation* of Alex's life! Sure, she'll probably get the knowledge back sometime, but nobody in their right mind would ever consent to having their brain changed in such a fundamental and personal way. It is completely out of character for either Alex or Kara to accept this; Alex would sooner resign from the DEO. This plot twist is so ridiculous and so obviously artificial that it is horrendously bad writing. The stupidest thing that has ever happened on this show. Unacceptable. Argh!

Well. I will keep watching, of course. Things need to get much worse for me to stop watching and start hating, but... damn, this is just too stupid. There's no way a brain can be altered like that - emotions and memories would be too pervasive to ever properly define what was a memory of Kara/Supergirl and what wasn't. This is exactly like in that ridiculous new Keanu Reeves movie, "Replicas", where he specifically deletes his family's memory of their youngest daughter - besides being immoral AF, it's also so neurologically complicated as to be effectively impossible. Suspension of disbelief for something like this is just not an option for anyone who understands science and the complexity of mind.

Episode 4.10 (3 out of 5 stars).

This episode of Supergirl does pick up a little bit with Supergirl being attacked by one of DEO's superior officers Haley. Supergirl question's DEO's plan to stop a group of invisible aliens.

It has a bit of action and a dramatic story with Kara and Alex.

Identity Crisis Episode

Kara's Identity is in Crisis of Someone finding out... This isn't my favorite top 5 episode of this season... its still good though. I'm intrigued by what this episode means for the Danvers sisters for years to come. The Sister dynamic is sure to change dramatically.... Also not a fan of the side authority of the d.e.o... She undermines Alex a lot... and I would quite too with a boss that bad. Spoilers: The Questions That Come to mind. Will Alex now hate Supergirl? Will Alex not Trust Supergirl? Will Alex take down Supergirl by mistake because of the double, Red-Son Cliffhanger? Will Supergirl Time Jump in 2 years? I am still hoping ever since season 1 and clark's legion ring at the fortress of solitude. I want at least a few episodes of her in the future or an entire season if they find a way to let her be in the annual crossover that way.

I'm also going to get really mad if the writers don't let kara explains to alex why alex protected her if one day Supergirl needs to get alex's memory's back or tells her again.... This is one bad scenario, that I don't want to see.

Confidential 67897 is wrong he or she doesn't know what there talking about if you don't like the program don't watch it. I thought the episode was well done & they should keep doing more like it, well done.

I don't know what Confidential 67897 person was doing watching a show that doesn't seem their type at all going by that review! Because this was as perfect as a Supergirl episode could get! It had Kara/Supergirl right and center, had lots of amazing relationship storytelling, great action, touching of Red Daughter storyline, light comedic moments among the tension, good cannonical use of Martian Manhunter and finally finishing off with that heartbreaking moment between the Danvers sisters where Alex sacrifices her memories to keep her younger sister safe. I can't think of a single thing to complain about this specific episode. I hope the writers keep up the good work!

Just keeps getting worse
