LAW? What Law?
arclt17 January 2019
Warning: Spoilers
The part of this episode that is about Erin is complete nonsense. I wish these cop shows would at least try to get the Law correct. Don't get me wrong. I enjoy the show but this part of the episode is just so wrong it is unwatchable. The defendant has pled guilty. The judge has accepted the plea. He is about to pass sentence. Up jumps the defense attorney with "NEW EVIDENCE". The judge immediately adjourns until this evidence is considered. This is complete nonsense. What was presented by the defense was not new evidence. The law is He was trying to change the plea from guilty to Not Guilty by reason of mental defect. IT'S TOO LATE! If the judge didn't call the Bar association about this fool...He at least would have laughed and asked the defense lawyer, "DID YOU REALLY GO TO LAW SCHOOL? " . So, I know it is about entertainment...But they can't entertain when the content of the show is so far off the mark of reality.

SVU Redux
coreycitn635 July 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Years ago SVU did an episode where a mentally unstable young woman played by Brittany Snow killed a young girl by attempting suicide by driving her car into her. And like that episode the girl in this episode of Blue Bloods got off cause Erin felt sorry for her and not the young boy who died. A prosecutor is supposed to be for the victims and not the accused no matter how sympathetic the person may be.

¿Coincidence or amending a mistake?

I was very surprised by this episode after the events of 'Legacy' S08E15 makes me wonder why after firing the officer now he wants to reinstate her, could it be that the boss or the real commissioner did not like that episode at all? I guess the producers got a lot of complaints and forced them to do this episode, I've seen a lot of themes where the NYPD was embarrassed but it's still a show.

One step forward, two steps back
tamjam686918 January 2019
Warning: Spoilers
So they brought back the officer after wrongly firing her (Tom Selleck said in an interview with TV Guide that he felt firing the officer wasn't true to his character), so that's the step forward. But then they show a veteran officer being a coward, a newer officer pulling a gun on a bookie off-duty and getting arrested for it. AND Danny telling that same officer earlier "Leave the thinking to the detectives."

Please, Blue Bloods, find writers who actually know something about cops. Stop making every cop on the NYPD less knowledgeable than any of the Reagans.
