Finally a fun christmas movie
d-ramseeey22 November 2023
Holiday Twist is literally the holiday movie we all need! It's not just another festive flick. It's this whole journey of, like, different people overcoming their struggles and somehow their lives get all tangled up in the best way. It's super touching and honestly made me think a lot about how we all face stuff but can still find magic in connections with others.

The way the story unfolds is so cool - it's like watching real life but with this extra sprinkle of Christmas magic. The cinematography. Absolutely gorgeous! It feels so Christmassy and magical, but still totally relatable. The actors are amazing! They're so authentic that you feel like you're right there with them, feeling all their highs and lows. They make the whole overcoming adversity thing feel super real.

Holiday Twist 2023 is the kind of movie you want to watch when you need a good mix of feels and fun. It's perfect to watch with your family or when you need a break from real life. It's definitely one of those movies that sticks with you, in a good way. Totally recommend for anyone who loves a good story with heart, plus all the Christmas feels!

Great, lovely cast - amazing signature song! Impressive work by first time writer/director.
lanaford6 December 2023
For a film of this scale, it is a good start for first time writer/director, truly an independent film with more of a commercial appeal for the Christmas season. The cast is lovely and delivers some delicious character work. And the signature song is amazing! It will surprise you. Take a watch with the family of different ages altogether! Independent films like this are challenging to get made, it takes great perseverance, multiple sacrifices and collaboration on all fronts. All for the sake of making entertainment for the whole family. The more family films are supported, the more will be seen in the future.

Lovely holiday flick

Holiday Twist stands out with its clever blend of traditional Christmas elements and a contemporary twist, steering clear of the typical holiday clichés. It offers a refreshing take on festive stories, making it an ideal choice for cozying up during the holiday season. The movie leaves viewers with a sense of warmth and a reminder of the joy and wonder that this time of year holds.

The film skillfully combines drama, humor, and romance, making it an excellent pick for family viewing. I highly recommend it. The main character displays exceptional talent and wit, while the supporting cast adds depth and charm. The essence of Christmas is seamlessly integrated throughout the movie, creating a memorable experience. It's a film that shouldn't be missed and is likely to become a beloved classic.

My fav time of the year
shirleymickeey5 December 2023
Okay, so I just watched Holiday Twist and let me tell you, it's not your average Christmas movie. It's got all the festive vibes but without the same old, same old holiday stuff. It's like a breath of fresh air for the season, perfect for snuggling up with some hot cocoa and getting those cozy feels.

The mix of drama, humor, and a touch of romance. Total win for a chill night in. I would totally recommend it for a family movie night or just hanging with friends. The main character is so relatable and has this amazing wit, and the rest of the cast? They're just as fab, bringing all this depth and fun to the story.

This is the kind of movie that leaves you feeling all warm and fuzzy inside, reminding you why this time of year is so magical. Seriously, don't sleep on Holiday Twist. It's got all the makings of a new holiday fav!

What sets Holiday Twist apart is its powerful and inspirational storytelling. The actors deliver performances with impeccable timing, tone, and emotion, bringing each character's journey to life in a way that feels both profound and genuine. The film's ability to gracefully navigate through the storyline in a kind and caring manner is refreshing and deeply moving.

This movie takes its audience on an emotional rollercoaster, skillfully transitioning from moments of humor to scenes of heartfelt significance. It's a fun, engaging, and uplifting tale that centers on the themes of hope and the transformative power of love.

The story is full of unexpected twists and turns, all wrapped in a bright and cheerful package that is a delight to watch. The film's vibrant storytelling and compelling narrative make it a must-see movie, especially during the holiday season.

Fantastic holiday film
sofagirlsalome21 November 2023
I was fortunate enough to get into a preview of this film, and I had so much fun unexpectedly :-) I took my aunt and my nieces and we all had a blast. Very good performances by the bad guys Neil McDonough and I really liked the underlying message of finding joy in the everyday miracles :-) A feel good Film for the whole family and wonderful music especially that I got you song by Jake Miller, who is one of my favorite new artists.

I am going to rent this when it comes out on VOD so I can share with my husband and my 90-year-old mom !

I hope there will be a sequel as I'd like to know whatever happened to the burglars! I thought that Blak Leeper, who played the disabled Santa was wonderful.

It's the perfect movie to cozy up with during the holiday season, leaving you with a warm, fuzzy feeling and a reminder of the joy and magic that this time of year brings.

Holiday Twist? More Like Heartwarming Twirl! ✨
panchaljyoti-242942 January 2024
Forget about your fruitcake worries, guys, coz this time all you need is a sugar-plum sprinkle in your holidays. Think of it as a Christmas week roller coaster, where laughs are the main currency and the twists are sharper than a gingerbread house architect's wit.

Our ice queen, Connie (played with icy brilliance by Kelly Stables), wouldn't melt for a million blow dryers. But here enter Blake Leeper's Santa, a walking candy cane with a twinkle in his eye and a secret that'll make us say "holy moly!" both of their chemistry is hotter than cocoa on a blizzard, and their banter is sharper than a perfectly-iced gingerbread cookie.

But wait, this ain't your grandma's Hallmark special. The plot twists are like a reindeer on roller skates, keeping you on your toes until the last snowflake falls. And the supporting cast?? They're a bowl of misfit ornaments, each quirkier than a Brussels sprout in a tutu. You've got Connie's sassy elf assistant who could out-sass Mariah Carey on a diva meltdown, and her grumpy uncle who grumbles like a hungry yeti with a case of the Mondays. But beneath the grouchiness, there's a heart of gold waiting to be unwrapped.

"Holiday Twist" is more than just a laughing ride; it's a heartwarming hug from a giant teddy bear on Christmas Eve. It's about second chances, family ties that are stronger than gingerbread, and the magic that happens when you open your heart (and maybe a bottle of your favorite wine). So, grab your cocoa, settle in, and let "Holiday Twist" sprinkle some good old-fashioned holiday cheer on your year! You won't regret it!

P. S. The sets look like a Pinterest board exploded in the best way possible. Like cozy cabins dusted with snow, those twinkling lights that would make Rudolph jealous, and more than enough gingerbread to build a whole village (Hansel and Gretel would be SO jealous!). For sure you'll be decorating your house like Santa's workshop after this!

Nope. Not Good. Absolute rubbish
wppmdk3 December 2023
A rip off and badly done rehash of lots of old Christmas movies from like the 80s.

Big snore from beginning to end and not funny or clever.

I thought it would be staring Sean Astin but he's barely in it. Other actors are awful.

Te woman who is the lead actress is so annoying and obnoxious and not in a funny way.

A lot of the other actors seem like not really actors - like putting non actors in without a thought.

The parts that are supposed to be magic are cheap looking effects and none of the situations make any sense.

The dancing music video is so badly put together. Like high school.

The whole thing is super generic and basic.

Don't waste your money or time.

Christmas catastrophe
augustushank10 January 2024
I watched this film on Amazon a couple of days ago, and I am still wondering if I can get my cash back? Sadly, not my time!

First off, it makes no sense. It is not funny. It is a mishmash of other movies and really poorly done. Whoever wrote and directed this should never work again. Honestly who are these actors?

It looks so bad has no flavor whatsoever! None of the actors look very happy even to be in the film.

The actor who plays Connie is really really bad. I think it's total miscasting? I have looked up this actress and she seems to be funny and good in other TV

Which brings up another point. This looks like a bad TV movie one would find on lifetime in the 80s. Skip it. Don't waste your time.

Horrible movie
Bmiles7126 December 2023
No real acting, plot was rushed. Whomever was involved in writing, directing, or funding this, should really not work again. Worst holiday movie I've ever seen. My wife, I, son, and daughter all hated it. We left early. Never trust your boss saying it's a great movie. This was not even a good after school special movie. People will not go see this. It was a waste of my time and money. Horrible acting, made out to be a hallmark like movie and to be honest, those are much better than this. Please never bake a movie again, do something else but never make a movie again. I'm sorry to be brutally honest and harsh but it was a waste of my money.

What did we just watch?
Madriian29 December 2023
This may absolutely be the worst film I have ever seen. Even my 10-year-old daughter who loves anything Christmas was bored and pointed out every ridiculous trope in this film. We are asking Amazon for our money back. Avoid at all costs. Who the heck made this movie? Where did they get these actors? This makes Hallmark movies look like Oscar winners.

It looks like it was lit with a bright, iPhone flashlight, the music is melodramatic and ridiculous, and let's not talk about the beyond stupid dialogue.

Nothing is believable. There is certainly no miracle or joy, or even one laugh in this abomination..

Just terrible! Barely got through it
lulachmacultan23 January 2024
I was looking for something inspiring to watch and thought this would be funny and family friendly.

This film is absolutely pointless.

The actors are stiff and wooden in their performances. I don't know who put this film together, but it is directed so poorly none of the scenes make sense with each other. The editing is just terrible!

The use of color and lighting is jarring. No one even seem to be making an effort and it absolutely does not look like Christmas. The tone of the film is all over the place and it's hard to sympathize with the shrill performance of the main character, Connie Who should be someone you are rooting for! I absolutely hated her.

I kept watching it, hoping it would improve or amount to something, but it did not. A total disappointment. Don't waste your time. Sloppy and amateur.

Skip this Ho Ho Horrible movie.
joypoler13 January 2024
Deck the halls with disappointment. I watched this on Amazon last week and it seems to now have been pulled. I wanted to show it to my sister who is in Film school in an attempt to show her how not to make a movie.

Holiday twist, is a festive flop that fails to deliver even an ounce of holiday cheer. This so-called comedy is more of a yuletide yawn, leaving audiences with a lump of coal in their cinematic stockings. The only thing merry about this movie is the relief you feel when the end credits finally roll.

From the very first scene, it's clear that this is destined to be a disaster. The plot, if you can call it that, revolves around a dysfunctional family coming together for the holidays and the inevitable chaos that ensues. Unfortunately, the film's attempts at humor fall as flat as day-old eggnog, leaving viewers with forced, cringeworthy jokes that are about as funny as a fruitcake.

The characters are as two-dimensional as the wrapping paper on a last-minute gift. The overworked mom, the bumbling Sean Astin , the snippy office workers, and the wise-cracking thieves are all tired tropes that do nothing to breathe life into the stale, uninspired script. It's as if the filmmakers raided the bargain bin of holiday movie clichés and threw them all together in a desperate attempt to create some semblance of a plot.

Speaking of the plot, what little there is of it is so predictable that you can practically see the ending coming from the first snowflake. There are no surprises, no twists, and certainly no moments that warm the heart. Instead, viewers are subjected to a parade of contrived conflicts and resolutions that feel as artificial as a plastic Christmas tree.

Even the most talented actors would struggle to salvage the stilted dialogue and uninspired scenarios that populate this cinematic lump of coal. It's as if the cast realized early on that they were in for a long, joyless sleigh ride and decided to phone in their performances from the comfort of their holiday pajamas.

To add insult to injury, the film's production values are about as impressive as a homemade ornament made by a preschooler. The sets are cheap and unimaginative, the special effects are laughably bad, and the soundtrack is a forgettable mix of forgettable holiday tunes that do little to elevate the uninspired on-screen proceedings.

There are plenty of other festive films out there that actually succeed in delivering the warmth and joy that this one sorely lacks. Definitely not a classic as some of the reviews have stated wrongly. What film did they watch? Definitely not this one.

Incredibly dumb movie
Maleekmo2 January 2024
Was looking around for something fun came across this and thought it would be interesting and funny and this is literally the biggest piece of garbage I've seen pretty much ever How's a movies like this get made? Does no one read scripts?

Why is it so crazy bright white and purple? I didn't understand anything that was going on at all. And why is the little woman who is the lead lady so shrill and obnoxious? How is this character likable?

And if you're going to try to be a musical and have dance sequences why not coordinate all the dancers and stuff? It looks like a high school play. Are these actors even professionals? Or was this made with peoples friends? I am so confused.

Somethings really wrong here with all these good reviews. Just my opinion - this is more than awful.

One of the worst films of the year
daveberger-384714 December 2023
This is an amazingly poor film. The writing, directing, and editing are all fragmented and choppy. The storyline makes little sense with no depth or backstories for any of the characters. The acting by most of the players is robotic and uninspired with no emotion whatsoever. The notable exceptions are Santa Claus and the gift thieves. However, even their obvious talents cannot save this very confused and jumbled film. To say this is a holiday classic is a horrific thing to say to unsuspecting audiences. There is an attempt to make it a feel good movie but the confusion of the script really hurts this goal. This film had so much potential that disappears so very quickly. Avoid if at all possible.
