Garbage
qui_j5 June 2021
This is the slowest, most boring movie ever made. It's scene after scene of people having meaningless conversations about nothing! Most of the times, the dialog seems to be improvised. Even if you fast forward, there is no movement in the story or development of the characters. It's amazing that it was even put on a streaming site.

a sketch

A nice sketch looking for demonstrate nothing. A young woman visits her family with her boyfriend. She wants open an art gallery but she has not money. So, at the first sight, the return has a clear purpose, not so sentimental.

In fact, the family is represented by father, brother and cousin. But it seems enough for a summer story who offers only, as memorable part, a chain of sex in pool.

Many holes, few scenes only for be, a bizarre taste after the final credits because, without be exactly a bad movie, it proposes few fists of crumbs of ordinary life, in note of a kind of improvisation. In essence, it reminds the washing out .

I admitt, I like it. For few scenes, for the traits of sketch, including for the status of improvisation / obvious for dialogue. Is it enough for appreciate it ? Maybe, not exactly. But it has the fair dose of bitter - sweetness.

Very bad
thorgal-8820227 August 2022
This movie is very badly written. It is boring all the way and nothing is really happening. The characters and their dialogues or reactions are unrealistic most of the time. The story, if there is one, is quite predictable. There is an unbalanced level of acting, the father acting is a disaster for exemple and we don't know what his character wants, but the young girl is amazing on the other hand. Great image though, which the enjoyment of this film but bad lighting, and chosen songs are so annoying... It feels that it has been made with unexperienced production team, low budget. Why did Netflix paid for this ?! I really don't get it. This is definitely a waste of time...

Very good ! A beautifully directed intimate and romantic film

Warning: Spoilers
I understand that if you are only used to Hollywood formula films this one is a bit too complicated or as many would call it: no real story and slow paced. But every other seasoned film watcher will recognise this film as an intimate portrait of a family after the death of their mother. How to shape life after this? How to be who you want to be? Happy in marriage or stuck in marriage? Really scared of your wife or playing scared out of respect? Is there a place for a gay man in a village? Or does he need to find freedom in the bigger city? The sister is the only woman left in the family. She's better educated than her father and has different goals in life which her father didn't really understand at first but he respects and trusts her. And how to go on as a widower? And is the father in fact bi-sexual? Plus: is giving small village life with less material stuff a full happy existence? It's a beautifully directed, intimate and romantic film. I felt every character. And of course as a viewer I wished some made different choices but the director makes me respect the decision each of them takes. I'd like to try the slow paced village life with the beautiful olive trees but I'd also like to follow this who decide to go to the big city. A lovely film, go see it.
