Waste of an episode! Need more Story Arcs!
eaj-943-8749053 April 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Other than some minor character development and the appearance of Bo-Katan, this episode does absolutely nothing to further the plot. Our characters start the episode in a cell and the episode ends with them in the same cell. I still have no idea why this season is only 12 episodes long. With only 3 story arcs. It's very disappointing, hopefully these last 5 episodes can be a fitting end to the Clone Wars, but I highly doubt it.

We should have gotten the Boba Fett/Cade Bane arc and the Son of Dathomir arc aswell. Would have made a fitting end to popular characters like Cade Bane and Mother Talzin, while furthering Boba and Maul's arc.

Here's the thing

Warning: Spoilers
This episode was mostly characters development and prepare for the next story. I'm fine with that, but the reason I gave it 7 stars was because of the fact that they chose to use off-screen deaths like they did in rebels. I don't like this because Clone Wars is supposed to be real show the harshness of war in real life, but Disney wants to be family friendly. You can be real and family friendly but Disney is doing so at the cost of the other.

Better than the last 2 episodes
dwightkschrute-335003 April 2020
This arc has so much filler I can't take it. It's felt way too much like Rebels imo. I like Rebels but really? The 2nd to last arc in the series and this is what you're doing? Pairing Ahsoka with not great characters and going on side quests just so we can build character? I would be okay with that if it was good but this doesn't even feel like Clone Wars. I can't wait till they get to the Siege of Mandalore cause this isn't The Clone Wars I know. Hopefully that arcs not like this too. We can't even say The Bad Batch is proof everything's gonna be fine because that was made before Disney bought Star Wars. Nothing has wowed me this season, practically everything in season 6 did. I mean I like the Bad Batch arc but I think it's a little overrated and I would have much preferred them finish Anakin and Obi Wan's kyber crystal arc which I loved. All that being said this episode definitely improved on everything they're trying to do. Good characterization, less kiddish, Ahsoka kicking ass, Trace wasn't that annoying this time. It is still very much filler, all they really did was try to escape a prison from the non threatening Pykes. They did set something up in this episode that leads into the Siege of Mandalore though, so maybe we'll get to see more of that in the next episode. We only have 12 episodes this season, please whatever happens let the last arc be great.

Meh yawn
cockerilldominic4 April 2020
I mean once again not terrible a nice character building episode, however the sisters look genuinely stupid in this episode they are annoying and the fact they haven't 'worked out' she's a Ashoka is a Jedi genuinely baffles me.

I like the wider look at the danger of the people we don't se win the films and there link with mall does make me look forward to the eventual Ashoka and mall meet.

However they can do better so please listen to the fans we don't like this IT FEELS LIKE FILLER.

Above Average Filler
Uzer_error4044 April 2020
This really isn't a bad episode. It's far better than the previous two, it has a lot more action and a lot less comic relief. The Martez sisters are an acquired taste, but most of the time they are super annoying. Ahsoka's Jedi training is kicked into high gear because she is EXTREMELY patient with this quarrelsome pair.

Another thing I enjoyed about this episode was that we finally get to see Ahsoka in action. I also enjoyed hearing the history of the Martez's and why they resent the Jedi.

This episode was filler, but it was above average filler. This whole multi episodic arc was clearly part of a broader picture, but for some reason Disney decided to cut like 70% of its original content down to just Rex and the Bad Batch, Ahsoka and the Martez's and ultimately the Mandalorian arc.

I don't really have high hopes in the final season of the Clone Wars closing with a high note, but anything is possible, I guess.

Character Building
Mathewryanbritt4 April 2020
There is obviously a reason Disney brought back Clone Wars for a 7th season six years later...it wasn't for the Clones. These last 3 episodes, and side story, are clearly character building for future Star Wars spin-offs.

I'm not sure we have ever had a character quite like Ahsoka and she is quickly becoming one of the franchises greatest assets. Can't wait to see a spin-off with her as the lead.

Waste of time.

The episode ends at the same place it begins. This story arc is way too repetitive and plain boring.

Don't Get The Hate
Ljc-2460112 January 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Preface - I am in the middle of a clone wars binge, I had skipped certain episodes, and ones that I saw years ago that I remembered really well. Also, all of season 7 is out now. I see many people have have called this episode filler, however i really enjoyed it. The visuals and score are great, and the music is too. I get that its largely pointless, as they end up right back where they started, but still it was fun. But I can acknowledge that, if you are craving more and more clone wars that this can be an annoying episode. If you really don't like the sisters in the first episode of this arc, give the episode a skip.

Would people be this salty if they were the Martez Brothers?
jakepat-kelly730 May 2020
People hating on this really need to chill, it was clearly part of a bigger story but of course because it had new female characters obviously the first reaction from sections of the fanbase is simply "booooo" without waiting to see how it played out.

It's a solid episode again showing that Ashoka still has the moral compass of her Jedi teachings even in a far more morally ambiguous world. It's character building for her

What was the point?
raginglunatic-022453 April 2020
What was the point of this episode? The sisters arguing and complaining about how life sucks ended up taking most of the time. I love Ashoka, absolutely love her but these last couple of episode have been letting me down....real hard.

Dangerous Debt
kaden_lewis4 January 2022
Warning: Spoilers
In March of 2021, I decided to watch Star Wars for the first time. I chose to watch it in the timeline order, and watch everything, including the cartoons. I am so happy I did, because with the exception of Star Wars Resistance, they were all amazing. But my favorite is 100% Star Wars: The Clone Wars. It is just amazing. I didn't have my IMDb account at the time, so I couldn't review it. That is why I decided to re watch one of my favorite seasons, season 7, and review it.

The only reason I gave this episode what I gave it was because it was actually pretty entertaining. The episode literally ended in the same place it started. With Ahsoka and the Martez sisters in the Pyke prison. They eventually escape, and run around Oba Diah for a while before getting caught and put back in the cell. The only positive was the Mandalorians who were also on Oba Diah, hinting to the future. I kept saying this series of four episodes was necessary for Ahsoka's story, but this one was not, they could have easily cut it, or maybe add little parts of it to episode 6 or 8.

This Story Arc shouldn't have happened
rnorsen4 April 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Episode is definately a filler. I thought this would be the episode Ahsoka finally reveals she is a jedi, forced to use her powers in front of everyone. Nope...

Didnt continue the story line. It felt like a filler episode of Star Wars Rebels. Very childish, even though background characters died on screen.

I hope the next arc will do justice to The Clone Wars name.

Filler Episode in an already short final season.
Krawia3 April 2020
This is the final season, this should be what ties into moments before Episode 3 and instead of working to set that up this episode was complete filler with the characters ending in the exact same spot they started.

The reason that the sisters hate the Jedi is so cliche and overused. Whenever a narrative tries to make civilians hate the heroes they always use this exact same formula. It is boring, overused and cliche. Having the Jedi be criticised is not an issue and is interesting, this was disappointing.

My main issue with this season so far is the lack of any attempt to end "the Clone Wars" tie up Ahsoka's arc since she doesn't appear in Episode 3, and set up Episode 3. This will probably happen in the last four episodes but

Gangland Dangers
A_Kind_Of_CineMagic7 October 2020
This episode is a lot of fun. The adventure gets more action packed and dramatic as the group are taken prisoner by the Pykes. I really enjoyed lots of this episode and it felt like classic Star Wars entertainment at times. On the other hand it is very much a filler and it has moments that are weak such as characters stopping to argue when supposedly trying to escape. Those cheesy moments are similar to what is in most popular action movies though so I don't judge it too harshly, it is just normal action/comedy stuff.

Ahsoka is on great form and we get some nice depth added to her new companions the Trace sisters. I liked how it shows dark alternative views of the Jedi and demonstrates how their position as peacekeepers was being undermined.

The Pykes are cool villains and the animation is brilliant.

A decent filler. Just a pity to have fillers in the final season of this great series.

My rating: 7.5/10.

What was the point of all that if they're just gonna end up in jail again, worst season of the clone wars by a long shot, it's been filler after filler. Give us an entertaining story Disney

The better of "Ahsoka's Walkabout" arc.
robertmosconi3 April 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Sure, these past 3 episodes of Ahsoka's Walkabout Arc haven't been the Bad Batch episodes but what were people expecting? They're literally finishing the unfinished episodes so it's not meant to be action packed. This last episode set up Bo-Katan's wanting of Ahsoka's help to takedown Maul and take back Mandalore. Once's the Siege of Mandalore starts, I hope everyone is happy. 9/10

Where's the focus?
femkemvs4 May 2020
Warning: Spoilers
This group of episodes felt less about Ahsoka and more about those damn Martez sisters. If they had been more interesting characters or somehow better connected to other elements of the universe, perhaps this might have worked, but these two are amongst the most pointless and annoying characters in all of Star Wars. If this were a regular season of Clone Wars with 20+ episodes, I would be more forgiving, but if you only have twelve episodes to complete the show, what is the point of not focusing entirely on its primary characters?

I understand that they needed a way to get Ahsoka associated with the Mandalorians, but there were so many better ways to go about this. I think it would have been more interesting to focus on Ahsoka's struggles immediately after leaving the Jedi and then having a timeskip to connect her to the Mandalorians. It would have cut the filler and actually focused entirely on Ahsoka, rather than characters we will never see again.

This episode is particularly offensive because you could cut everything but a few seconds and it wouldn't matter in the end. They end up exactly where they started and only Bo Katan's appearance makes any actual progress for the series. There are only twelve episodes for the final season, so every episode matters and this one was an absolute waste. They're lucky they hit it out of the park with the other two arcs; otherwise, this would have been six years of waiting for nothing.

Filler, really?
EatThatPie10 April 2020
No spoilers, but you could actually remove this episode entirely from the season and you wouldn't know the difference, because the entire episode is filler. I already thought the first episode of this Arc was pretty slow, and now this.

Superbly Written, Animated, and Executed
TeaLeafOnTheWind5 April 2020
I want an entire series staring these three. It feels like a different show, like a pilot for a new series. But one I welcome and wish there would be tons more of. I find this to be the most compelling acting and storytelling they have done in years.

Underrated but important
rinkaudenaerde21 July 2023
Warning: Spoilers
For some this episode might feel like a filler, but for me this was an episode that was very important to ahsoka. I understand how some see this as an filler, But look closely. The conflict in Ahsoka, not only in this but in all of this arc, is so important. The connection to Bo-Katan and the things Ahsoka sees and does are very important and might be vital to her development.

Overall this episode, together with this whole arc has it's flaws, but a better look in the cruel world of coruscant is very interesting. Trace and Rafa were no bad characters, and the conflict in ahsoka paired with the story of Trace and Rafa is very well done. Deserved 8.

They replaced the Cad Bane Arc for this...
Salamalad4 April 2020
Warning: Spoilers
But they reference Cad Bane in this episode anyways. Perhaps one of the most useless arcs in the series. They cut down the show but decide to keep some of the more redundant episodes. I mean they were able to complete Echo's arc. They didn't need this interlude stuff to complete Ahsokas. And now Cad Bane's arc is incomplete for what? this? who made this decision?

Oh right, the woke crowd in Disney wanted to "balance" it out so the show focused more on woman. And now we have a ruined, long awaited, six year finale. Im done watching. It'll get better im sure, but this is just disappointing. George Lucas wouldnt have done this, he would have kept the show completely focused on story and not appeasing a bery small percentage of the shows demographic.

Boring episode
wendilyn2213 September 2020
You have 12 episodes to tie everything together into episode 3 and you waste 3 of the them on this?? This was the most pointless story arc of the whole series and this episode has to be the worst.

As Rafa said this while hopping aboard the escape vehicle I thought, "Me too." I then proceeded to get trolled as the group is caught and ushered into the same cell they started in. Well played, Mickey. You got me.

Please help
austinalpern3 May 2020
I've watched this entire series in nearly a month and a half. This - and its two predecessors - are some of the worst "Star Wars" creations I've ever witnessed; sad to see this happen in the final season. Forced, lackluster, and full of complaining: not the Star Wars I've seen in the last several seasons.
