Hidden in the background of several scenes is a small Playmobile figurine called Bob. It's a toy of director Juliane Block's son. She placed it on every set as a shout-out to him.
The location used in Hobbes House is actually an event space. To make the tight schedule work crew and cast had to work around several wakes, kids birthdays, conventions and graduation ceremonies.
The movie was shot in 18 days on location close to Bristol. Juliane Block took on the challenge of the very tight schedule under the condition that she can shoot without bigger location moves.
Nigel Thatcher inconspicuously steals several small items throughout the film without his pockets getting any fuller. This wasn't in the script, but started as a running gag between actor Kevin Leslie and writer Wolf-Peter Arand on set.
