This episode was so promising and was going so so well with some v important progression and character development.
But then they ruined it bc Jane made the absolute wrong decision that makes zero sense and I am absolutely distraught and sick of this.

HOW TO RUIN A PERFECTLY NICE SHOW

To me the show ended on the last minute of this episode. And it's not about being #TeamMichael or #TeamRafael, it's about how Jane's final decision was utterly untrue to her nature. It is like they abducted her and replaced with a totally different person. She is an incurable romantic for Christ's sake, and would never EVER dismiss the love of her life like that, like he meant nothing anymore. There was no closure AT ALL, so really: what was the whole purpose of bringing Michael back from the dead?! And yes, people do change - but not their essence. Not to mention the absolute lack of chemistry between Rafael and Jane that befalls since 1st season. And note that I am a Justin Baldoni fan, though that doesn't change the fact that Jafael is just... blah!
I don't think ever in my life as a series fan I had become so frustrated with a show. It is completely ruined to me. I stopped at episode 16 and won't even watch the remaining 3 episodes tbh. And I would unwatch this season if I could. Such a pity.

A disappointed fan

The show is full of bad writing in this season. It feels like they forgot what the main core of it was about. The memory of one of the most important characters is ruined. Why bringing Michael back and don't use it at all or actually using it just to get some disappointed fans back to raise the number of the show... And suddenly every other character just doesn't make sense as being, without that being explained as an evolution of them... That is what I call bad writing with not any base and care in the dramaturgy.
Different flavor

Warning: Spoilers
It is sad to see Michael go... Till now I found the show rather realistic when it comes to making the better decision in a difficult situation. And this episode caught me for the first time off guard with the choice Jane made at the end. Furthermore that was Michaels last episode. Later in the season he isn't even mentioned any more. I can't believe how easily he popped out of the lives of every character. That is not even close to a real-life for someone who just came back from the dead... loved the show so far, but I am disappointed of the last season... it just have a different flavor ...
A bad episode to end a disappointing arc

I don't really care much about Michael's return to begin with, but Chapter 88 brings this already poorly written storyline to its lowest point. It is awfully paced and thoroughly uninspired. The most notable moment of the episode is a scene with Jane trying (and failing) to take a shower with a bucket. Yes, it's that bad. Honestly, the only positive is that it brings this whole lame arc to a close.
What is the problem with the rating

6/10 ? Seriously ? Its the best episode of The show, finally an episode out of Miami, finally a different episode, so yes WE are all angry about Jane not choising Michael, but its doesn't change that this episode is very good
