stylish thriller

A heavily pregnant lady is kidnapped n brutally thrashed. Her husband, a doctor, is forced to hand over a patient named KK n take back his wife. But who exactly is this mysterious KK? Is he a cop? Is he a wanted gangster? Why r so many people after his blood? This stylish thriller boasts of good performances by vikram, abi, akshara. Vikram doesnt have too many dialogues, but his personality n talent will keep u engaged. #KadaramKondan rating 2.5/5.

The story is all abt wanted criminal who helps a doctor. #Chiyaan Doesn't have many dialogues but his acting & style keeps u engaged till end.

Actions & fights seen are not too bad, Vikram has acted great as usual but we the audiences expect more complex stories and suspense of this kind of Hollywood copied movie. I love the action movies but unlikely this movie have a very little story, my kind request to the director please keep making the action movies with more stories. Well done

A nice tour of Kuala Lumpur

Step 1: Get a drone and shoot 1 hour of B-Roll aerial footage of KL Step 2: Get untalented/unknown (b-grade) kids of stars Step 3: Get a star to produce it Step 4: Get Vikram to say 5 lines This is the exact formula of this movie. Watch it if you want a tour of Kuala Lumpur.

I wonder why they Kamals production even made this movie. Purely to write off money in tax losses. Vikram gone are the glory days. A supposedly crime thriller absolutely makes mockery of a layman's intelligence. Stupidity to the core. Please don't waste your time watching this movie.

Weak screenplay and scripting makes this film lousy. They could have filmed it in india. I still wonder why most movies are filmed abroad for no reason when they can be done here.

Kadaram Kondan Review

The pregnant wife of a young doctor is kidnapped and the kidnappers want him to help free a patient who is admitted in the hospital. Who is the patient? And why are the cops and criminals after him? KK (Vikram), the protagonist of Kadaram Kondan, is a mysterious figure - even after the film ends. Is he a supercop? An undercover officer? A double agent? A master criminal? But then, the film asks us to not worry about it. All you need to know is that he is badass - the kind who lights up a cigar when the gash on his abdomen is being stitched. And Vikram plays this character by turning on his star power to the fullest. The character might hardly be a stretch for Vikram the actor, but for the star, it presents a great chance to play to the gallery. In that sense, you could call Kadaram Kondan Vikram's Billa moment. All that the film asks from him is swag, and that he delivers in loads. As for the film, which is a remake of the 2010 French action thriller, À Bout Portant (or Point Blank as it is internationally known), it shares quite a few similarities with director Rajesh Selva's Thoongavanam (which itself was a remake of another French hit Sleepless Night). As in that film, we get a kidnapping and blackmail, twists that involve dirty cops and cover-ups. This does give us a bit of deja vu. The story here revolves around Vasu (Abi Hasan), a trainee doctor, who saves the life of KK, who was involved in an accident and has been admitted in his hospital. But this leads to his wife, Aatirah (Akshara Haasan) getting kidnapped. To save her, he has to help KK, who is now wanted by the cops, escape from the hospital. But soon, he realises that his only way to save Aatirah and himself is by teaming up with KK, who is most wanted among both cops and criminals. What makes this film somewhat different from the French version is that it puts the focus on KK rather than have Vasu as the protagonist. The action scenes make Kadaram Kondan a visceral experience, even though Rajesh Selva's filmmaking falls short on flair. As long as we get a chase or a shootout, the film feels thrilling enough. It is only in the quieter moments, like the initial scenes that set up the story, that get us restless. Thankfully, Ghibran's energetic wall-to-wall score lends the film momentum. And Vikram ensures that we don't leave disappointed.

One of the worst south indian movie I have seen

Being a fan of South Indian movies, this movie has nothing to offer. Plot goes haywire, bad action sequences, clueless acting. signed up for this movie for Vikram only. Turned out to be wastage of time

Watch it just for Vikram's Style. Average Storyline, Weak screenplay. And full of flaws. Have never seen cops this dumb. Even Indian police are better in handling the situations.

Frame 1 - when Vikram wears black jacket Frame 2 - when he jumps off from window Frame 3 - when he comes out of the prison with cigratte in climax Frame 4- when he gets the Chain from corrupted police in climax

An extended Cameo by Vikram!!!!

No logic action thriller with all main characters doing irrational things. Vikram plays a stylish character and his hair style is the only thing which went well in the movie. His screen time is also less and it feels like he is doing and extended cameo.

A very average movie which ended up relying too much on Vikram's style to carry it forward.

The biggest problem with Kadaram Kondan was the content was only worth 30-45 mins of screen time at max, with most of it coming in the second half. With this level of content, Rajesh M Selva would have had better chances with a short film. This wafer thin storyline led to the following negative aspects:

1. A big chunk of the movie comprised of stunts, fights, Vikram's style and slow motion shots and the romance track between Abi Hassan and Akshara Hassan. 2. Since the main story had to be told in the second half, the first half had many dragged out scenes which really didn't add too much value to the eventual story. 3. With Vikram being one of the central characters around whom the story revolves in the second half, there wasn't enough depth in his characterisation.

There were a few positives in the movie too like the visuals (Thaarame Thaarame song visuals in particular), Ghibran's BGM, Vikram's screen presence. But without a proper story, none of these can save a movie.

If you want to catch Vikram on screen, MAYBE you can give this a shot. Else, it's worthy to give this a miss and wait for its release in any of the digital platforms.

Was expecting a "Irumugan" kind of action movie, but KK is nowhere near it. KK lacks life and emotions. The story is dull and its execution is even more lackluster.

This movie is copied from French movie point blank. Original movie itself is an average one. This is cheaper version of the original. Director and actor should have concentrated more on the story n makeup instead of stupid makeup

Not a good movie. Everybody acted very well in the movie. The 1st half in the movie was so interesting but the 2nd half does not have much interesting twists or turns. Songs and BGM in the movie were excellent. The Fight scenes in the movie were excellent. Vikram's portions were so good and the stunt scenes done by him were excellent but Vikram did not had any scope of acting. Vikram's character was not at all explained till the end of the movie. This movie is not the best of Vikram.

So this movie is basically a remake of Point blank which is also a remake of Italian movie À bout portant.... Some viewers like me will find it too much boring ... The thing they don't have good cast at all and only they kept Vikram for a badass character .. Still I wouldn't recommend to watch this movie .. waste of time and energy and electricity 😢😢😢😢

Oh my god!!! By looking at the trailer of this movie I thought it will be worth watching but after watching it for 1hour 50min I realised it was just worst watching. Good aspects=shot beautifully by the cinematographer, acting of the three lead cast,music n background score by ghibran ,Vikram sir look. Bad aspects=story n screenplay ,action sequences ,no twist n turns that will shock u at a moment,n very very bad writing

To be honest point blank was very average what can we expect from this. No proper story telling. Fight scene choreography was poor. No proper dialogues. The movie doesnt keeps you thrilled. Kamal haasan just made this movie for the sake of his daughter, so that she can become actress and used vikram's charm for it. Would had gave 1 star but Vikram's acting and his looks are the sole reason to watch the movie. And also the background music was pretty decent.
