Fascinating...

It seems so absurd and impossible, that it hurts, I forget simple commands in my work, things I've just done, names of people and things, how can it be possible to memorize so much, and using even more difficult devices, which are to create stories for memories numerical (?!?!), in love with Yanjaa's humility, joy and style, but my darling was Johannes Mallow, fascinating...

Feel like the result of a high school group project

Warning: Spoilers
One of the main characters, Yanjaa, was very annoying and arrogant. Said things like "I only care about memorizing things. I don't care about being smart, pretty, or kind." Really? She doesn't care about being kind? ALRIGHT. Then she said she liked Sweden because she can talk to guys without them "hitting" on her. As if every man she's ever talked to wants to fornicate with her. Also, the film just veered off onto topics that don't really have to do with memory in my opinion, and it tried to stick in a lot of those "sappy" stories that always appeal to Americans and make them cry and go "awwwwww!!!" And barely any help on what the techniques are that these peeps are using

Interesting insight into another world, but gets old quickly

Even though the documentary provides an insight into the world of memory and above all memory competitions, it merely provides 2 tips for viewers to improve their memory. Was expecting more from the summary so that was a disappointment. A real downside for me was also that the documentary could not abstain from introducing topics like feminism, people with disabilities and Alzheimer's. I guess it (needlessly) tries to appeal to different kinds of viewers. I don't care about Sweden being the best country because of free healthcare or education. Or that Mongolia is the most beautiful country. I am trying to learn about improving my memory. But I guess these "facts" is something I memorized watching this documentary. I also got the feeling that some some of the people that were followed really did so to brag and their minutes of fame.
