A straight docu with intense insights
DLochner25 June 2020
Everything you need to know about the genius Elon Musk. In addition to the classically told biography, a psychologist's view of Elon Musk's childhood is particularly interesting. His drive to become an entrepreneur, his relationship with his father, the bullying in school, to his worldwide success.

One big soundbite hodgepodge.

They have a problem with one person getting through the whole "Elon Musk" story. It is a hand full of people that repeat and repeat themselves and never get to any conclusion.

There is a redeeming value of the fact that the presentation is somewhat in chronological order.

Most of the story is well known; however, there is an occasional surprise allowing you to say, "I did not know that."

After discussing the various facets of Must achievements, the is a small focus on What if A. I. no longer needs people or at least runs the world?

Time to watch "Colossus: The Forbin Project." So, the thinking is brain/A. I. interface. Let us hope it is not IBM's "Watson."

Let us think off the deep end and watch "World on a Wire" (The Criterion Collection.) Or the English abbreviated version "The Thirteenth Floor."

Next, we are introduced to "The Boring company."

Being a tad dated we do not see the latest updates including" Elon Musk says he has moved to Texas. That factory is Tesla's Giga Texas - will be used to build Tesla's Cybertruck, Semi, as well as the Model 3 and Y for the Eastern part of the United States.

Idk why they compare him to Tony stark

This movie was extremely boring. Elon is not a prophet or a savior to the technological world. He is given credit to things when he doesn't deserve it. Most people don't know he weaseled his way into tesla automotive. This might be a shock to his followers but he didn't invent the tesla cars. He merely strong armed his way in with money and cause a rift within the original company to position himself for the leadership position. After he took hold of tesla, it was hundreds of actual engineers that worked/design and improved the cars to what they are now without elons self absorbed narrassasitic and over egoed self.

Best villain protagonist movie

I dont often find myself enjoying movies where the villain. That being said, this movie portrays a real life villain that is accurately depicted as man who has an almost intangible amount of money and does things beyond the reach of what any normal middle class person could ever do. Truly this movie is a testament to what you can do if only your family had become increasingly wealthy due to the role in apartheid, and you had the ambition that only a true sociopath can, and suppress your worker's right to organize to the best of your ability, while typically, maintaining your rights within the law.

For Elon Musk worshippers only

Warning: Spoilers
Preaching to the choir effect.

The only target audience for this crappy documentary are those pathetic men that have Elon Molusk as their lord and savior, believing he is some sort of "real life iron man" (Something even more pathetic that having Harry Potter or Eragon as some sort of holy grails of literature)

Iron Man is just a puerile fantasy. There is no "real-life Iron Man" just in the same way there is no "real-life Batman" or real life tooth fairy. The idea a billionarie rich heir has your best interest in mind, or that he is going to "save free speech" is something only a frustrated manchild would believe, probably with the secret hope of some day becoming just as rich as him (Spoiler: Is not going to happen and he does NOT care about you or me. He probably is into minors, like his massive creep daddy)

Unless you are part of the Musk cult, this is going to come off as a rather weak waste of time.

First and foremost, Artificial Intelligence was what I spent many years in graduate school studying. This is an excellent documentary. Most of the information it delivers is real for today's science. So where this is going? Intelligent Systems will likely cost many people their jobs; we are living a reality where AI is poised to make a major impact in all of our lives. Let me finish by suggestion you watch this and really think about the facts it presents. The future is upon us.........

Discrimination
ubaidurrrehman13 February 2021
I started watching this documentary but I found was discrimination and hypocrisy. They portrayed his father very bad man as he was African but described his mother very outstanding women as she was American/white . At this stage, I just smell the racism and quit watching.

Just great!

Despite opinions to the contrary, Elon Musk is not a robot, but he has done things that very few living people can claim.

This well-done documentary explores his powerful visions and spends time on important issues. There are particularly interesting sections on the potential of getting to Mars and the benefits of autonomous vehicles, as well as the developments in artificial intelligence, which are seen as terrifying, even by some involved in creating them.

Inspiring beyond measure

It was well worth seeing for me and worth a watch for insight into Elon's weird and wonderful life. It takes us right back to his childhood in South Africa, dives into his personal life and follows his journey to stunning entrepreneurial success. This dude is awesome. The greatest innovator of our time. I wish I had his motivation. Thanks for your commitment to making the world a better place. You rock dude!
