King of the Mountains

Esteban Domenech is a top Mallorcan cyclist and tipped for big things, but he is kidnapped during a race.

Quite simply, I didn't enjoy this one as much as the first, and that's due to the storyline, at the end of the episode all I could think of saying was, that old chestnut again, a plot that has quite literally been done to death.

The crime fighting duo were on fine form, the dynamic is great. I also am loving the boss, Inés Villegas is pretty fabulous.

Enjoyable if silly fluff designed to brighten up a cold, grey winter afternoon. 6/10

While the boss is away in Madrid. Miranda and Max take on a Spanish case.

Esteban Domènech is an ace Spanish cyclist who has suddenly gone missing during a training mission. He is someone who is tainted by suspicion of doping.

When Esteban suddenly turns up he knows little about what happened. Miranda and Max think his family background might hold the key.

Another enjoyable episode, even though it is far fetched. A love triangle and doping in cycling.

The one good thing about the series so far is that it moves along at a pace. It is economy storytelling, there is good use of visuals even though it has a daytime television budget.
