The Bolian officer is struck in the chest by a spear. When Mariner is helping him flee, in several shots, the spear is sticking out of his back, not his chest. Once they have made it to safety, the spear is once again protruding from his chest.
The Gelrakian adjudicator complains that they need to stop doing trial by combat or else they'll never get to use the geode. He'd previously said that Vindor was undefeated and that whoever battled him was guaranteed to get cut in half.
The scale of the graffiti on the Cerritos' hull changes between shots.
The shuttle is seen departing from the front end of the Cerritos. California-class ships like the Cerritos have 3 shuttle bays, all of which are on the aft (rear) of the ship.
Mariner reveals a number of battle scars to Ransom. She was previously seen in her underwear, and would be seen in it again in future installments, and no scars were seen before or since.
Tendi and Rutherford are shown lying in their bunks with their pillows to the right. They usually lie to the left.
The concept of the command crew being unaware of "buffer time" ignores the simple fact that higher ranking officers started as low ranking officers and worked their way up. The concept only works if all command level officers were inducted into the fleet at a command level ranking, which is not at all how things work.
The Gelrakians hold the Cerritos' away team on trial for the "crimes of the Federation." It was stated that Gelrak V was a Federation member world.
The Honor Crystal seems fairly critical to the success of the Galrakian mission. However, there was enough time that this should have been checked long before departure.
Boimler states that the crew of the Cerritos is comprised of humans, Vulcans, Orions, and one Benzite. This ignores that the command crew includes a Bajoran (who is on the bridge with him) and a Caitian, and there's a Bolian member of the away team down on the planet.
Captain Freeman berates every crew member she sees not involved in a task. However, the Cerritos maintains four shifts (referenced by discussion of Delta shift). This means a large portion of the ship's crew is off duty at any given time and therefore need not be actively working.
Mariner accuses Ransom of not having any scars because he "plays it safe" when she is well aware that Starfleet technology can heal any wound without leaving a scar. The only reason she has scars, symbolizing her supposed "toughness," is because she refuses medical treatment for her wounds.
The Gelrak adjudicator is baffled that Ransom and Mariner are fighting over "who gets to be chopped in half by Vindor." It was stated that, if the Starfleet representative who fights Vindor loses, all of the Starfleet officers will be crushed by a adjudication geode. It is therefore not unreasonable for any of them to want a fighting chance at sparing themselves and their fellow officers from such a fate, even if the odds of success are slim.
