The Reagans disagree
bkoganbing14 December 2019
This episode has Bridget Moynahan caught in the middle of a feud between her father and Governor David Zayas. Tom Selleck is not happy about the DA not prosecuting drug busts with a small amount in possession and takes appropriate action.

Donnie Wahlberg is caught between a rock and a hard place as he tries to cover up for Detective Josh Randall who froze during a shootout. Wahlberg and Randall go back to the Academy together and have a lot of history.

Will Estes starts having doubts about his own leadership capacities when one of the men in his charge is nearly killed.

It's a good mix of stories in this Blue Bloods episode.

Disappointing false drama

Warning: Spoilers
I love this series, but this episode is about the most disappointing I've seen.

For the sake a conjuring false drama, we have Erin, Danny, and Jamie all acting in dumb ways, ways their characters would very easily know better than.

It's just not at all believable that Erin would spring that new marijuana policy on Frank without even mentioning it first. Danny would not just stay ready to sacrifice his career for a friend's obvious mistake. And Jamie is plenty smart and self-assured enough to quickly get over a cop getting injured after he made a solid command decision.

The writing in this episode does not sufficiently respect the characters involved, apparently to manufacture the conflict.

Danny, Such a pain in the .....

Donny Walberg's character really gets on my nerves. What's with him unshaven all the time. Every other male is clean and well shaven and his pompous egotistical character walks around always needing a shave! I guess this is the way the writers want this character to act, but as for me Walberg's character is one big pain in the butt. He is a stinking egotistical jackass and I cannot stand the jerk. I have stopped watching this show because of Walberg's character.
