Sex & Nudity

  • There is full nudity shown of both men and women at the festival. There are scenes of people bathing naked together and walking around naked or topless. These scenes are non-sexual in nature.

Violence & Gore

  • Brief images of Vietnam War footage and protests, not graphic. Police are shown hitting people with batons at other music festivals prior to Woodstock that had spiraled out of control.

Profanity

  • The film contains a few curse words throughout: "h*ll," "d*mn" and "sh*t."

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • There are many references throughout the film to drugs such as acid and marijuana, scenes of people smoking marijuana, and a "freak-out" tent for people at the festival who got high and had a bad reaction to the drugs.
