Ultimately, I can commend the parts heartily, but I'm not sure I'd recommend the whole.

Despite having an abundance of promising ideas, it fails to decide what direction it wants to pursue, leaving everyone lost.

Weak story, subpar acting, but good production values

Nakee 2 is a continuation of a popular Thai TV series and expands on the story. In this movie, a new police officer is sent to investigate bizarre killings which villagers believe is caused by the mythical serpent called Nakee. The prime suspect is a young lady who guards the idol of Lady Nakee of the said legend. The movie has good soundtrack, and nice gore. But it fails to provide any sense of mystery to the killings. The acting is subpar, but it has a rather epic naga showdown at the end. I actually enjoyed the naga battle. The flaw of the movie is probably the script and the acting. The production values, such as the cinematography, the make up effects, the use of setting, and even the CGI are decent. The movie has its moments of good entertainment, and some comedy. If you are willing to suspend disbelief, this is quite enjoyable.

Week story . Made for thai star fans ( Yaya and nadej) it'd be good to make the story about naga in thai belief , but nothing tells in this film. Fail in story make the actors lost what to act

Totally absurd, boring and foolish movie.

The film is boldly bad, yes, but also boldly boring. One of the worst films of the year.

Answer Local Thai believe about Naka

Seem like horror fantasy film, but show the way of North-Eastern Thai life. Bring Thai North-Eastern believe in to the film and answers the topic from series Nakee1 good for Fan series and other Thai-Laos Audience.

Entertaning well-made movie, for those who understand the legend behind the story

Warning: Spoilers
I'm not surprised to find poor review from international viewers because the movie seems to be made only for Thai and Southeast Asian viewers who has background of Nakee and Garuda legend and Buddhist circle of Karma and reincarnation. I'm a Thai and I find the movie satisfying and the story understandable and make sense.

For the production, I think the cinematography is beautiful. The acting of the cast is superb, especially those who play the main roles. The graphic fight scene at the ending is exciting to watch. The story may move a little too slow and has a lot of silent look and quietness that communicate the feeling of the characters instead of dialogue. But I find that touching instead of boring.

(SPOILER AHEAD. Don't read if you haven't watched it. Read if you have watched and you don't understand what it's all about) For those who haven't watched Nakee 1, The statue that Soi worship is the lady in white or the white Nakee. In Nakee 1 she's in love with the man who later became the monk that you see in this story. In Nakee 1, after killing a lot of people in the village (they had killed her parent and tried to kill her lover) the white Nakee needed to meditate in seclusion to make redemption for the sin she committed and isn't supposed to come out of her spiritual world to commit more bad karma. In Nakee 2, she didn't kill any of those people in the village but the poeple thought she did. The Red Nakee was a young woman who was in love with the same guy in Nakee 1 but her love was turned down and her father was killed by the white Nakee. So she made a wish on her last breath to become a Nakee and in Nakee 2 she killed many people in the village, trying to make it look like the white Nakee and her "daughter" or Soi did it. Pongprab the police, is actually a man who was born as Garuda medium but he didn't realize it. He would turn into a Garuda when the situation pressured him and he wouldn't remember it afterward. That explains the ending of the fight scene. According to the legend, a Garuda is a being that will always defeat a Nakee. But the funny thing is this Garuda is in love with the little Nakee or Soi. So it is something that can be used as the plot if there is to be Nakee 3. In the conclusion scene, you'll see that the white Nakee and her lover (both had been killed in the graphic fight scene) were reincarnated as human beings and now they can finally be together as lovers. Soi the little Nakee and Pongprab the Garuda start their journey of cross-species love as well.

That's the best I can explain. It's hard to understand if you are not familiar with the legend.
