Amazing, the best of Disney Latin America.
brunohs-606338 April 2023
The series is perfect. A very modern musical, an empowered and charismatic protagonist, a story that addresses necessary issues about the internet, diversity and, above all, the love of sisters (unlike cliché series that always highlight the couple of boyfriends). Very good, it deserved a third season for the finish.

Bia's story is different from her predecessors, well developed. The plot is not childish, it is aimed at the adolescent/young adult audience. In addition, the other characters also have their prominent moments.

The Disney Channel innovated a lot in this one, created official profiles of the characters on Instagram so that they could interact with each other. The songs are very good. The series is not tiring to watch. The cast, mega talented, rocked both in both seasons and in the film released in 2021, where they completely changed their personality.

A meaningful story that guides young people to the right path Warning: Spoilers
I really don't understand why this series is earning a lot of hate, because having watched it myself, I would really say that is a beautiful coloring story that illustrates the importance of family and the social media consumption. For example, FUNDOM, the main location where Bia and her friends usually hang out, allows you to express yourself through videos and fun challenges without staying too focused on likes and comments from followers. On the other hand, LAIX is a bittersweet environment where you happen to be too far from making your own decisions when it comes to shooting a video. The CEO, Marcos Golden, is only interested in money and fame and he will do anything to get what he wants no matter who ends up losing. Basically in LAIX everyone does as they're told, no exceptions. Jandino wanted to leave LAIX but Marcos stated that he had a contract to adhere to and that doing so would damage his career. Can you really believe that he just bullied and threatened a celebrity? My recommendation: if you have to choose between FUNDOM and LAIX, choose FUNDOM. You'll have much more fun there rather than wanting to boost you career, which would only end before it can even get started.

Furthermore, FUNDOM started a solidarity campaign by the name of BeU, in favor of a powerful inspiring speech Daisy gave at FestiRitmo about accepting oneself just as they are. This happened on account of her finding out that in FestiRitmo they only chose her for being overweight and not because of her dancing abilities since Daisy has loved dancing ever since she was a kid. Another important topic is cyberbullying, which happened to Pixie, who is a technology expert and the person in charge of FUNDOM. Online users had always mocked her for her boy-like clothes and appearance, even using the #IsaBoy, which is a derivation of her real name, Isabel. Because of that, Pixie closed her channel and refused to share her situation, out of fear of being judged. However, her friends were there for her and supported her through the process.

Another important fact is the beautiful sister bond between Bia and Helena. The two are very fond of each other and love singing and playing music, even in their bad days. Since day one, Helena took the sister role very seriously and that proved to be enough for Bia to love her back. The same happens to Manuel and Victor, who are also stepbrothers (initially thought to be cousins). Unlike the rest of his family, who blame Helena for the accident and thus refuse to forgive her and her family for all the damage, Manuel is the only who understands him and is there for him when he needs him the most. They trust and tell each other everything about their feelings and problems regarding their love lives, especially Manuel, who loves Bia very much, in spite of their families' disapproval and Alex trying to get in the middle of their romance, not to mention Paula's unfair hatred for Manuel, whom she looks down upon sees as a 'nobody'. At least he never yells at and nor does he argue with Paula, even when she treats him very harshly. And speaking of love, this cannot be ruled out: Binuel. That's the name of the love pairing between Bia and Manuel who bond over their love towards music and the losses of their respective siblings. Their relationship sometimes had its ups and downs, but that made their love become stronger than their families' spite for each other.

Also, I really loved the evolution Carmín had during the show. She used to be a self-centered, arrogant and mean person who only cared about being famous during her time in LAIX. However, her experience of losing followers every day made her reflect on her errors and this, with the support of Jandino, taught her to care more about people, allowing her to evolve into a much more caring, humble and kind girl. Even when at FUNDOM everyone refused to believe that she had truly changed, this didn't stop Carmín from backing down and taking matters into her own hands to prove them wrong. You should really applaud her for that. Now she is officially a member of FUNDOM, with a new channel, very different from her former one, #JustCarmín.

So let me be very clear. This series is NOT Soy Luna and does not intend to copy styles from other sitcoms or music videos. The songs and dancing choreographies are really impressive, the plot is 100% original and the actors are quite professional in their performances. I really hope the series gets a Season 3 at any time.

Bad acting
jackiea76dtheatersn25 June 2021
I just found out that there are quite a few actors who had no experience in television and acting, I don't want to say the names, but without any doubt, it is very noticeable in the series the difference between the actors who are prepared, and those who are not. Especially those who have no preparation at all, act quite bad in the series.

Loved it

I absolutely loved this show! While it was not too different from other Disney Latino series ( Like soy luna or violetta) I think it was great. I loved the story line and the actors did well. The only thing is that it ended too soon. Though it was hundred and twenty episode plus a special one the ending was a HUGE cliff hanger and season 3 should have been made. Overall good for entertainment and fun to watch. Also had a lot of good lesson included which I think were great from bullying to pear pressure.

100000% recommend it.

( I will say It was a little unrealistic in some parts. )

GREAT JOB!!!!!! 👏 👍👌

The show is not as good as they say

I don't understand all the fuss about this show, why do the "kids" look like old people? The actors don't look like teenagers at all, more like adults. There are a bunch of contrived characters, who talk and behave unrealistically, in a town where a series of implausible events occur. I can't stand the script, sorry, the plot doesn't make much sense. Although the only good things are Bia and Manuel, the actors.

Uncreative

It's the same Disney LATIN AMERICA idea reused over and over again, the same thing, really, I'm not kidding. LITERALLY THE SAME.

As I know there will be people who will say it's not the same old recycled idea, here's an example, in Soy Luna: Luna, a foreigner who moved to Argentina. Bia, a foreigner who moved to Argentina. Ambar, the rich bad girl, Carmin, the rich bad girl.

The "mystery" they have to solve in Soy Luna is that they have to find out who Sol Benson is, what happened in the accident and who Luna's parents are. In Bia they have to find her missing sister and what happened in the accident. Anyway, I could criticize a lot more this poorly made series, with a bad idea, bad script and bad songs, but that would be a never ending story. The series is very cliché and lacks grace, originality and has a failed story in many ways.

What bothers me the most is that the story does not match the script. For example, you were born in Brazil and your mother tongue is Portuguese, your family lived in Brazil all your life, so, the most logical thing would be that you speak to each other in Portuguese, right, but in the series they speak to each other in Spanish (their second language while in reality you would speak your native language). Another example of the many I can give you is that Alex's mother forbids Manuel to be with Bia, what the ...? How the heck is his aunt going to forbid him to be in a relationship.

The "jokes" are so silly that the characters are more funny than the joke itself. The actors overact a lot. The songs are the worst I've heard in any Latin American series in all of Disney Latin America.

No... just no

The most ironic thing is that it's a musical series, and the songs have a lot of auto-tune and the actors don't even sing well! The acting and singing are terrible except for the main characters Isa and Julio. The characters are very superficial, I decided to skip parts or even to stop watching the series because of how long and boring it gets. It is very predictable what is going to happen. The decisions made by the characters are hopeless. And worst of all, are the 30 year old adults acting like teenagers. You can't even believe the storyline, because nothing makes sense, not the characters, not the acting, not the singing, not the drama, not the romance. Well, not to mention the low budget and the poor quality of the production and scripts.

Not worth watching series
belindazrifkiman30 August 2020
In the series it is mentioned that the characters are 16 years old, but in reality, the actors are in their 20's to 30's years old, it is very sad, the actors act badly, and that makes the series not credible, although Isabela Souza and Julio are very talented, the series does not know how to take advantage of, or use their talent.

All the songs have too much auto-tune, thus letting their voice not be heard well and appreciated as it should be, because they use a lot of urban music.

In addition, the songs are mixed in Portuguese and Spanish, always repeating the same songs throughout the series, and it is not a very inclusive series.

All the time they film in the same places, whether it's Fundom, Laix, or Alex and Bia's house and the residence.

The series becomes very boring because the plot is very long, between the triangle and drama of Bia, Alex and his parents, and Manuel.

For a youthful series, it is too cliché and makes the story false.

In many episodes, there are mistakes that are seen in cameras.

The plot is very bad, the characters are boring, and not at all credible.

In general I wish I could be positive. I wish there was something fun in this series. I wish I could tell you that there's something worth seeing here.

But I'm sorry. It's not worth it.

A totally superficial and boring soap opera, very cliché, bad acting, poor character development, nothing entertaining at all. The directors who came up with this idea, it was good, but they didn't know how to develop it well, either because of the script, with those who approved it for production, or because of the actors who besides of acting badly, don't sing well.

Too long
remington00creatingxs30 August 2021
The tv show, is too long and takes too many episodes to reach a conclusion and a breakthrough in the plot, the show never reaches a strong point where it grips the audience. And it is evident the lack of imagination and intellectual ambition, as well as the scarcity of money, in fact, this is the real reason why much of the Latin American Disney series, are so mired in deficiency, endlessly regurgitating the same old themes, and most of the time the same old plots, in the same old flat and drearily tiresome manner.

Soooo Predictable
nickel6gottakh28 September 2021
Four minutes in the TV show, and I could predict every single thing that was going to happen. It was and it seemed like there was no point in watching it, you could imagine what was going to happen because it was extremely predictable the whole show.

It was really bad to watch. Sorry but the whole story was poorly done and executed. Really disappointing.
