Procedure to respond to S.O.S. (Save Our Ship). Receive S.O.S., get exact Coordinates. Set Frequency to Emergency Coast Guard, call Coast Guard "CQ, CQ, this is T.R. Belle" wait for response, keep calling and pausing waiting for response.
After Coast Guard responds, "Coast Guard this is T.R. Belle, Coordinates, we are Responding to S.O.S. of name of boat, ship, at Coordinates, acknowledge". Coast Guard then acknowledges your Coordinates name of Ship, Boat, name of s.O.S. Ship or Boat and Coordinates". The Coast Guard then plots you and S.O.S. on maps, contacts Coast Guard Boats, Ships, in area and or sends Helicopter, may contact Civilian Boats, Ships or even U.S. Navy Ships in area. In extreme cases they may contact PACOM (Pacific Command) for U.S. Military Assistance.
From Training as a U.S. Military Joint Services Special Warfare Officer, the method to swim long distances is to backstroke no arms, just legs (below water as not to splash and attract sharks). If you are wearing pants, you create a life vest to keep your head slightly elevated while backstroking. If you have military gear (backpack) to use as flotation you put this backwards on your chest, and backstroke. Every couple of minutes you glance to see if you are going in the right direction.
I would reveal why named T.R. Belle, nah.
Entertainment Value 4, so much fun to watch what the Screenwriters, Scriptwriters come up with, as to what they believe U.S. State of Hawaii is like.
