Great show with a lot of values in it. The value of community and how we can be like a family and give a helping hand even if we are not blood related is shown in this show. This is a good tv show like When Calls the Heart

Nice show, lovely characters and a lot of potential to become as popular as When calls the heart.
But seriously, stop that annoying background music. It is almost impossible to focus on the dialogues because of that constant noise in the background.

I am loving this show so far! All of the actors are great, there is a bit of mystery that keeps your interest, and there is also a bit of humor. All of the characters are diverse and different, which I love, the storyline is very interesting, and there isn't any "cheesiness" like some Hallmark movies and TV shows tend to have. I definitely hope this show continues on with season two!

This new series is Amazing! What a blessing to have this show to watch with your family. With every episode comes joy and love to my heart. You wish every town could and would have the compassion for others as Brookfield does! This is a show that will never grow old. Each character brings such depth to the show. Cannot say enough about When Hope Calls. Forever smiles!

We really enjoy the show, BUT wish it wasn't quite so squeaky clean. I know it's a G rated family show but a little dirt and clothes that aren't all new and clean would add a little realism. The actors are great except the character of Ronnie Stewart played by Neil Crone is just annoying and over acted. Every time he comes on I just want to slap him. That character just doesn't fit with the rest of the people on the show and seems way out place.

I have loved watching When Calls the Heart since it first aired, so you can imagine my excitement when I saw this spin off series. Like When Calls the Heart, When Hope Calls is wholesome family entertainment that I would allow my kids to watch with me. In true Hallmark style, there is a conflict in nearly each episode, and It almost always works out.
The characters are loveable, draw you in to the storyline, and have to deal with real-life issues like loss of loved ones and traumatic childhood experiences. Overall I love this almost as much as When Calls the Heart. I can't wait for the next seasoning of When Hope Calls.

What a wonderful two-part movie!
For those of you that want to cast your stones at Lori Laughlin, the Old Testament is for you. Plenty of justice and "an eye for and eye and a tooth for a tooth". But I was born in sin, and it would be horrible to think I would die in sin with no hope for forgiveness.
But there is Good News... this was the Christmas Special! This is the season to celebrate that a child was born to save us from our sins. He suffered the weight of our sins and died on the cross so that we would have mercy and forgiveness. His message "Neither do I condemn you. Go and sin no more" was given with love and understanding. Of course, we are going to continue to sin, just remember and don't make the same mistakes again.
Lori and her husband made mistakes, but as mistakes go, they were relatively insignificant ones. Since the time of Socrates (that was a long time ago), the powerful have had their children get the very best of education. Most people had very little education and even the wealthy couldn't always afford the best.
Within the last few centuries (still a long time), money has had a lot to do with who's children received the best education. But when the powerful feel threatened, they smash the wealthy that get in their way. Obviously, there were those that wanted to hurt these children and the parents who wanted their children to have a good education. The powerful crushed the parents with justice and prosecution. A terrible thing for the powerful to do for something that was so non-violent and has been going on for thousands of years.
I thank GAC for showing us the true Christmas spirit and forgiving Lori for her mistakes. She is such an excellent actress and adds so much to the beauty of the show!

I love everything about this show. It is great family entertainment. It was kind of slow when it began but has picked up a lot in the story line. I Love Chuck and Grace. I also like Sam and Lillian together. I hope it does not take to long for the writers to put one of these couples together. I hope it is Chuck and Grace. If this series comes out on DVD I will start collecting it like I do WCTH.
When Hope Calls is so well done!

Really enjoyed the series. Disappointed there was only the one season.
I have to say, the actor who plays the constable, Ryan-James, looks like a dead ringer for Gregory Harrison.
I researched it a little and they don't seem to be related but you would not know it to see them. Wow!
He possesses the same charm and charisma as the older actor too.
Love the sisters. Kept hoping they'd transfer back to When Call the Heart but so far, nothing.

One of. The best shows on television. A good wholesome family show that you're not embarrassed to have your children watch. It has morals it has character and it's the fastest hour on television. I honestly hope we can get a season two.

If you want a family wholesome show this is for you.
If you want realism, this is not it. The literally squeaky clean town looks like a movie set. Everyone has clean clothing that never seems to get dirty, character's reactions to events arent realistic and sometimes things appear out of nowhere.
If your reaction to a disaster is "let's pray" instead of putting on a big pot of coffee or preparing for tired or injured neighbours, then this show is for you!

I was cautious about this show when it first started. I came from the world of Hope Valley from being an avid watcher of "When Calls the Heart". This show brings the same heartwarming feelings with a story line from what seems to be an even smaller town.
The people of Brookfield seem just as close-knit as those of their fellow pioneers of Hope Valley. However, they are still in their growing pains. One hotel, no saloon, two ranchers (even though we primarily see only the one ranch) and others required for a town to thrive (Bakery, Grocer, Infirmary, etc.).
The story line can be a bit slow at times, but then again so was the story line of "When Calls the Heart" at times. So far, I really like where the show is going and look forward to seeing where things wind up.
If you were an avid fan of "When Calls the Heart", I encourage you to give this show a chance. Watch a few episodes and it will grow on you. This one could be a hit.
The only dislike I have about this show is the fact that it's on Hallmark Now (a subscription service) and not available for mainstream viewing. This is the only thing that I think will not work in favor of the show.
They did a special of showing the first two episodes on Hallmark Channel, but I don't think it's going to be enough to get the potential viewership that they could really go after.
It seems the show was a front burner idea to get people to subscribe to the new streaming subscription channel, but I don't think it will get enough people to sign up for this show to survive.
For this show to survive, it needs to be aired fully on Hallmark so that it can attract the attention, love, and devotion of the rest of us that feel like Hope Valley is a second home.

Me and hubby love When Hope Calls. We have watched and rewatched season 1 at least 4 times. Finally purchased it so we will always have it. It's funny and enjoyable. Love the plot lines and all the characters. Please renew and bring us many more seasons!!
