"We're never thinking about what's happening right now." Apple has unveiled the official trailer for the music documentary Billie Eilish: The World's A Little Blurry, arriving on Apple TV+ streaming and in select theaters starting in February this winter. The latest documentary film by R.J. Cutler, who also made this year's John Belushi film and a few other docs recently. The documentary is from Apple Original Films, in association with Interscope Films, The Darkroom, This Machine, and Lighthouse Management & Media. Directed by Cutler, and featuring Billie Eilish, Finneas O’Connell, Maggie Baird, and Patrick O’Connell as themselves. The film offers an intimate look at the teenage singer-songwriter's journey, navigating life on the road, on stage, and at home, while creating her debut album. We're seeing more and more of these docs about popstars and the "challenging" lives they live. Just another part of the big music marketing machine. Here's the official trailer for R.

Apple TV+ has released the first official trailer for “Billie Eilish: The World’s A Little Blurry,” directed by award-winning filmmaker R.J. Cutler, which will premiere in theaters and on Apple TV+ in February 2021. The film marks the second foray for Apple TV+ into the music documentary sphere, following Spike Jonze’s well-received “Beastie Boys Story,” which premiered on the streaming service and had a limited theatrical run in April.
An early teaser featured footage of Eilish as a toddler, sitting at a piano gleefully tapping out a few notes. Apple TV’s initial announcement of the project focused on the singer/songwriter’s jam-packed 2019, which saw the release of her debut album, “When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?,” which won the 18-year-old Best New Artist, Album of the Year, Record of the Year, Song of the Year, and Best Pop Vocal Album at this year’s 62nd Grammy Awards in January.

Ticketmaster has convinced another California federal judge that fans who are unhappy over pandemic-related event cancellations and delays have to arbitrate their claims, this time in a suit from a fan who was angry about not getting a refund for tickets to a Rage Against the Machine concert that was indefinitely postponed.
In April, Derek Hansen sued Ticketmaster and its parent company, Live Nation Entertainment, claiming the site retroactively changed its refund policy to exclude postponed events after the novel coronavirus pandemic hit the U.S. (Ticketmaster president Jared Smith responded to public criticism in a letter to Billboard.)

Gorillaz go on a Grand Theft Auto-like joyride through Los Angeles — with Beck tagging along via FaceTime — in the band’s new video for “The Valley of the Pagans,” the latest single off Song Machine, Season One: Strange Timez from Damon Albarn’s cartoon outfit.
In the video game-inspired visual, Gorillaz’ Noodle drives carefree through the streets of L.A. — or “Vinewood,” as the video suggests — breaking every imaginable traffic law and ramming into other motorists while the Albarn-voiced 2-D and Beck sing “The Valley of the Pagans” over FaceTIme.

E.M.Time Machine: Benson & Moorhead Do the Time Warp Again
Designer drugs prove to be a mystical gateway to the past in Synchronic, the fourth feature from directing duo Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead. In keeping with their blend of innovative scientific concepts and genre tropes, their latest also finds them employing higher profile stars and mastering a bigger budget.
Having amassed a significant following after their critically acclaimed indie efforts, including 2014 breakout Spring and 2017’s The Endless (read review), there’s certainly enough offbeat incorporation of stimulating suggestions to evoke conversation in their latest venture. Unfortunately, it also suffers from some of the same stilted shortcomings of their previous films, which includes a lack of characterization and an inability to concisely convey the execution of said concepts for a meaningful finale.…...

Machine Gun Kelly made his name as a Cleveland rapper known for his high-adrenaline rhyming style and occasional beefs with Eminem. But on Tickets To My Downfall he tries a new gambit that works surprisingly well, switching to late-Nineties/early-2000s pop punk, with Blink 182’s Travis Barker producing and playing drums. Trashily lachrymose and full of easily digestible angst, it’s a record festooned with indie-signifying titles “Bloody Valentine” and “Jawbreaker,” though its cover photo of Kelly looking defiant and tortured holding a pink guitar by an empty pool...
