Ms. Vampire who Lives in My Neighborhood
Tweekums29 December 2018
Akari Amano has heard rumours about a doll like girl living in the woods near her home so investigates and gets lost. She is found by Sophie Twilight, a girl who fits the description... and happens to be a three hundred and sixty year old vampire. Sophie takes her home and not only do they become friends but Akari moves in with her... luckily for her Sophie is a modern vampire who orders her blood online rather than acquiring it the traditional way. Later they are joined by Sophie's old friend Ellie and Akari's friend Hinata.

One might expect a series about vampires to have an element of horror at the very least but this almost entirely avoids it. Instead it is a cute story about four friends, two of whom just happen to be vampires. For the most part it follows the standard vampire rules, even if the coffin Sophie sleeps in has a large cross on it. The various things they get up to are fun to watch and provide a few laughs. The character designs are suitably cute and the animation is solid. Overall this might not be anything special it is cute and rather fun while watching.

These comments are based on watching the series in Japanese with English subtitles.

Moe

I'm a bit of a fan of trashy moe shows, and this is without a doubt one of those. It also has its fair share of yuri elements too, but it isn't as good as a show like yuru yuri in that aspect. This was a nice, cute show, but the promise it showed in the beginning turned out to be a little false. It kind of slows down in quality around the halfway mark, and after that it's mostly recycled jokes. It's a cute show that made me chuckle at least once per episode though, so I can't give it too low of a score. If you like bad moe shows, you will like this, if you are someone who needs something high quality to enjoy, you probably won't like this.

Adorable

This is a very cute slice-of life anime about a vampire and a very strange girl. Overall, writing wise, I'd say that its a very funny and entertaining story. The animation is very limited, but its still worth watching. If you like nice moe anime, then I would highly recommend this.
