The dinner between Trevor and Grace was poignant. I really appreciated the backstory for Trevor and his wife. The bleakness of their reality and how they saw beauty in a sliver of sun shining through the dome.

Grace and Trevor

How good was this episode? The interaction with Grace and Trevor was wonderful. Grace finally showed her more human side as opposed to her hard-assed programmer side and this made the story more human and, of course, Grace more human.

My favourite episode of season 3. Apart from "David"

I wish the series could have carried on a little further.

Grace!!

Warning: Spoilers
Grace is awesome. Love this acerbic, far too blunt of a character, lol. Great job by Jennifer Spence who has brought her so deliciously to life. I wish they had used her more. Kudos also out to Jared Abrahamson who plays Trevor. That is a such a difficult job, to subtlety bring out this very old man who has experienced so much life, from such an obviously young body, but this actor has made this character completely viable. It was a little rocky at first, but he has pulled it off. Nice work!

Overall a really good episode. It is a little confusing as to just how much each traveler does remember, or is supposed to remember, from the previous host. Just how much of a dossier do they get on who they're taking over from? I would think that in the case of someone like Maclaren who is married, details such as when/where he first met his wife would be considered important, but maybe not. It would depend upon the current values of the society the traveler was from. One of the things I've liked about this show from the start was the surprise the traveler felt when taking over in also acquiring the emotional ties, or just peculiarities, of the previous owner. It added a nice depth to what was happening.

It's too bad the series has ended, because there were definitely more areas to be explored, in particular, more about who the traveler was in the future. I know there has been bits and pieces covered, but the genuine feelings, the sense of family, that they have developed for each other in the "past", as shown in this episode in particular, makes me wonder more about who, what, they are in the "future". There has been this sort of surprise being conveyed that they are even experiencing such feelings, that makes me unsure if in the future, humans interact on an emotional level at all, and so by now they're kinda rusty about it. Trevor was more comfortable with it, though he also was one of the original test cases in being transferred into a new consciousness/host. I liked the question raised by his frustration in finding himself still alive at the end -- that balance between what the individual wants when it comes to the timing of their death vs the pain (and desperation) of potential loss of a loved one by his friends. Very poignant!

Phillip & Trevor
mrobertson-2453831 August 2020
Warning: Spoilers
This is such a great episode with so many poignant scenes. Especially when Trevor and Grace have dinner and Trevor lovingly talks about his wife and their multiple generations together (although it's confusing that if they have made so many jumps, why they were still living under the dome). Grace realizes she can never be more than a friend to Trevor. And, of course, the scenes with Marcy and David are great, especially David's eulogy for Jim.

But one contrast that really stood out to me is the conversation between Trevor and Phillip. Trevor is completely committed to the mission, the Grand Plan, and is even willing to sacrifice his life so that the healthy young host could go to another traveler. But Phillip selfishly decides he doesn't want to take a simple pill anymore, even though his team absolutely depends on him being clear headed and providing reliable information. I like Phillip, but this just struck me as unbelievably self-centered. Especially later on when his inability to sort out the timelines prevents him from saving David and then Marcy.

Married?
scott67713 January 2019
Warning: Spoilers
I still have a hard time figuring out why Grant is so hung up on saving a marriage to a women he does not know? She is not his wife, has not known her long enough to truly be in love, and the relationship is complicating his mission. In everything else his character puts the mission above all else. It seems this plot line gets more frayed the further it goes on. Everyone else has pushed away relationships that complicate the mission, it's time for Grant to do the same.

The temporal fasia plot line was a great one however...

Saving Grace
cyberperro23 December 2018
Thus episode was all about Trevor, but it's a head-fake...it's really about Grace and her love of French Fries, metaphorically speaking. 😏

Really enjoying this show!
perrycs-4915223 May 2023
I am only watching this show now and I am liking it more and more with each episode. At first I liked it mainly because of Marcy - she's so desirable and easy to "bond" with her character.... but, as time went on, I really started to like the "Reflection" episodes like the episode with Rick Hall just before this one. As time went on I came to really like all the characters on this team. In this episode, Trevor is really amping up the me liking the character even more.

A lot of good quality side stories to go with the main theme of the show. I really feel like I'm watching through a window into their lives and what they are going through.

Quite enjoyable show. I haven't watched it before and I'm starting to worry that maybe this show is not finished... with only a few episodes left before the series end... I have to wonder... can they wrap this up in time?

I really hope so - I'm tired of shows not being wrapped up. I won't buy them or support them or companies that leave shows unfinished.

I personally believe EVERY show should be wrapped up. It's like ripping out the last chapter of a book and saying "well, thanks for reading it up to here, but too bad for you, we're not finishing it..." and there is nothing you can do about it. Rinse, repeat for decades and you start to get weary about supporting shows. Why should I care anymore about supporting shows when too many are left unfinished. Every show should have a budget left to always wrap it up.

Well, crossing fingers this great show is wrapped up properly. Netflix has sometimes wrapped up shows after the fact, but, as time goes on, more are not wrapped up. As someone who will never pay for streaming services... and only buys box sets... I hope this is finished... but, then again... can I even buy the box set? A lot of Netflix shows can not be purchased.

Anyways, I'm rambling.

I really like this show... I am going to miss Marcys adorable face (LOL) and I will miss the rest of the characters as well. All of them.

I nicely done and written episode.
LeatherCajun28 April 2021
Warning: Spoilers
I wish the show had found it's stride earlier. There were a lot of good creative concepts in the show...and the actors did a good job. The writing was too weak earlier on. But, even in this episode, a character cooperates in an important decision and then violently opposes it. These WTF moments make it hard for fans to enjoy the good work on the show.
