Sad to see him wearing himself down for nothing
Robbie0028 October 2020
It's obvious that this guy took a wrong turn in his life at an easily influenceable and easily led age. An age where the temptations of life are hard to resist.

I used to watch Rich Piana's video's on Youtube every now and then. He is a great motivational speaker, business- and salesman, honest and transparent (to a certain degree) and besides a lot of other positivities probably most of all a great guy. It's debatable how he would have been without his business succes, while others in de branche with the same goals and lifestyle but no succes kill their wives and/or themselfs and such tradegies.

It's sad to see a guy like Rich work so hard thinking he's on the right track but actualy wearing himself down up to the point that drugs and an absurd goal on how to look physical control his life and it's too late to turn back, which is cleary shown in this documentary. He must have been in a lot of continuous pain, uncomfort and physically and mentally miserability probably the better half of his life. Which is visibly shown in his autopsy report, enlarged organs and stuff like that. Most of the footage shown in this documentary is from his last living year which clearly depicts the problems he faces. He looks weak and ill, he has trouble walking, the vains in his face are messed up and his eyes look delirious. Still, with all the physical and mental problems going on he remains the nice guy that is willing to help, educate en motivate people, and for that, he must be remembered, even though this isn't comming entirely from himself but is also from the businessman in him. In the end, everything he's done from obsessed eating and working out to accepting the pain and misery to achieve this pointless goal was for nothing. But hey, if your hobby is fishing, in the end, thats also pointless but your life is alot easier and without unnecessary pain and discomfort.

If he would have made other choices early on or someone coached him the right way he could have lived a great and by far longer life.

Awful in a sad way.

Clearly a troubled individual, promoting what ultimately is a short and empty lifestyle.

The film-makers tried to make him look cool and multi-talented where he clearly was not. No MMA skills, no shooting skills, clearly 'lets get him doing this' moments.

The duration of the film was largely repetitive and lacking little substance of any use to people looking for long-lasting genuine motivation. He seemed to have no real friends, just hanger-on's and people he was paying to be there with him.

I hope he made money from it, because it just seemed like more exploitation to me.

Rich seemed lost and at times uncomfortable. RIP.

Warning: Spoilers
Under appreciated documentary following iconic bodybuilder Rich Piana before he passed away in 2017. Packed with entertaining conversations and moments from Piana's last year on earth, the film gives a unique insight into the mind of a man who was obsessed with being massively muscular, and who would go to any lengths to maintain his Hulk-like physique - including the use of steroids and testosterone. Piana is refreshingly open about his use of these substances while consistently informing those who seek his advice about the risks, as well as ways to potentially lessen some of the dangers.

R. I. P. Rich Piana.
