Adrien Brody’s infamous SNL moment Adrien Brody | GQ / YouTube
In 2003, Adrien Brody was meant to briefly host Saturday Night Live, in a fun, lighthearted, and quick segment. But it turned out to be one of the biggest disasters in SNL’s history. The actor was dressed in a dreadlocks wig and adopted an over-the-top Jamaican accent while introducing Sean Paul.

Kate Beckinsale is detailing years of harassment and abuse she’s suffered on various sets throughout her acting career.
In an Instagram video uploaded to her account Sunday, the actress said speaking out felt “topical” and “very important” following Blake Lively’s recent allegations against her It Ends With Us co-star Justin Baldoni.
“I’ve never met either of them and I wasn’t on the set, so I can’t speak to any of that,” Beckinsale said. “But what I will say is, what it has highlighted is this machine that goes into effect when a woman complains about something legitimately offensive, upsetting, harmful or whatever in this industry.”
In the nearly five-minute video, the Canary Black actress went on to recall several instances where she was harassed throughout her career, including being referred to as “that cunt” on one film set because she called out her male co-star...

Pedro Pramo Review: Netflix's Plodding Magical Realism Adaptation Captures Realism But Not The Magic

Netflix's Pedro Pramo is notable for several reasons. It is the first major adaptation of the classic 1955 Juan Rulfo novel a seminal masterpiece of Mexican literature that is widely considered to be the core influence on the development of magical realism since Carlos Velo's 1967 adaptation starring Psycho's John Gavin. The new movie is also the feature-length directorial debut of cinematographer Rodrigo Prieto, who has lensed a variety of well-known projects including Barbie, Brokeback Mountain, The Wolf of Wall Street, Amores Perros, and Broken Embraces.

Kaitlin Olson's latest endeavor is her newest show High Potential proves that it might be time for It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia to finally end. High Potential follows Olson as she plays Morgan, a single mother who partners with Detective Karadec to solve crimes using her unconventional methods of thinking. The High Potential trailer shows off Olson's character and the skills she possesses in a comedic, lighthearted way.
The series premiered on September 17 and is already a hit, with more episodes coming soon. Ray Liotta's final film, 1992, is dividing critics but impressing audiences. The heist drama, set in L.A. following the Rodney King verdict, was not the last film Liotta worked on, but it is the last of his projects to be released. 1992 landed in select theaters on August 30th. The film follows a shopkeeper who must save his son from an angry mob during the 1992 L.A. uprising after the Rodney King verdict and centers around two families.
The film currently holds a 68% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, with its audience score sitting much higher at 92%. While its score still lands the film in the fresh category, there is a significant difference between the two. So why the disparity? Critics' opinions of the film range from love for its cast to criticism of a generic plot and the fact that, despite being set during the L.A. riots, those events "take place in the backdrop.

1992, Ray Liotta's last movie, has arrived, and it will end his career with praise. The actor was known for his performances in Field of Dreams, Hannibal, Goodfellas, and more. He died suddenly and unexpectedly in his sleep at 67 years old in 2022. He was working on the production for Dangerous Waters and never lived to see it finished. He has had several movies released after his death, including an edited version of Cocaine Bear. His final movie tells the stories of two small families living through the 1992 LA riots.
With 1992 finally in theaters, audiences had the opportunity to see Liotta's final performance, and the response has been nothing but praise. With a 94% score on the Rotten Tomatoes Popcornmeter, it has earned a Hot designation, represented by a full and upright bucket of popcorn. The critics were less favorable, though still offered a 67% Tomatometer score. Both scores are positive, but the 27% difference is stark.

John Malkovich taught Charlie Day not to be embarrassed about appearing in TV commercials. After all, Rex ate literal shit just to miss out on the billboard.
It should come as no surprise to It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia fans that, before Day became world famous for playing the delightfully dramatic Charlie Kelly, he was a serious and trained thespian who performed live theater at respected institutions such as the Williamstown Theatre Festival. In fact, Day first met some of the future supporting stars of It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, including writer, producer and Rickety Cricket actor David Hornsby, at the respected Massachusetts summer theater. As such, even a massively successful TV actor and writer like Day is liable to end up starstruck in the presence of one of America’s greatest theater performers, if not embarrassed for how literally commercial his own career might be seen by the legend.

A hypothetical Star Trek: Voyager movie reboot could go deeper into some of the TV show's less developed characters, like Ensign Harry Kim and Kes. Glen Powell and Jennifer Lawrence would be ideal for portraying the spiky relationship between Lieutenants Tom Paris and B'Elanna Torres. Cate Blanchett is perfect casting for the role of Captain Janeway, exploring the weight of the Voyager captain's responsibilities in the Delta Quadrant.
If Paramount Pictures one day decided to give Star Trek: Voyager the Kelvin Timeline treatment, which Hollywood stars would play Captain Kathryn Janeway (Kate Mulgrew) and her crew? The core premise of Voyager was two ideologically opposed groups - Starfleet and the Maquis - being forced to work together after being stranded in the Delta Quadrant. The conflict among Voyager's cast of characters was rarely explored in a meaningful way on television. A series of Star Trek: Voyager movies could put that...

"It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" is a beloved show with millions of adoring fans, but you don't get to be one of the most boundary-pushing comedies on air without ruffling a few feathers. Although the gang is larger than life, many of the characters draw inspiration from real people, particularly in their names. A few of the main and recurring characters in the show are named after real-life people like celebrities, close friends of the series creators, or the actors that portray them. Unfortunately, not everyone was flattered by their namesake.

Charlie Day's movie, Fool's Paradise, is a satirical comedy that pays homage to Hollywood while offering a critical commentary on the industry. Despite mixed reviews, Day managed to assemble an impressive cast of his past collaborators, showcasing his respect and standing in the industry. The movie's characters, like Latte Pronto, Lenny the publicist, Christiana Dior, Chad Luxt, and the producer, provide insightful portrayals of the hopes, challenges, and realities of the film industry.
Charlie Day's new movie is a satirical comedy about filmmaking, and the Fool's Paradise cast is full of his past collaborators. Fool's Paradise isn't just another feather in the actor's cap; it's a heartfelt love letter to Hollywood, as well as a satirical commentary on Tinseltown. Fool's Paradise is Charlie Day's directorial debut, exploring his experiences in the entertainment industry in a fantastical and exaggerated manner. The film has garnered negative reviews from critics, who felt it didn't offer anything new about the movie industry, and that the actors were only involved due to their friendship with Day. Despite the negative reception, Fool's Paradise is still a fun and offbeat comedy that fans of Charlie Day will likely enjoy. It can be streamed on Hulu.
Fool's Paradise is Charlie Day's directorial debut, but the Fool's Paradise reviews have resulted in a response that the actor/director isn't accustomed to. Following movies like La La Land and Babylon, Fool's Paradise is another critical look at Hollywood while still being a love letter to the town. From XYZ Films and Dark Horse Entertainment, Charlie Day (Fool’s Paradise) has been set to star in the dark comedy Kill Me, directed and written by Peter Warren (The Auteur).
The upcoming film is said to be “a gripping, hilarious, and deeply moving murder mystery.”
In Kill Me, Jimmy (Charlie Day) wakes up in a bathtub after having tried to kill himself. Or, at least, that’s what it looks like to his friends and family.
Jimmy is pretty sure he didn’t do it…Maybe. Together with Margot, the 911 operator who took his call, Jimmy sets out on a mission to solve a vitally important whodunit: did someone try to kill him, or are they chasing the specter of depression?
“When we first read Peter Warren’s script, we were impressed with his honest portrayal of depression and mental health, while still delivering a great mystery with plenty of humor.

Streaming services are now trying to ration their upcoming original content due to the ongoing actors strike and the only recently-resolved writers’ strike, so we’re going to see a thinning-down of new releases across the board over the next six months at least. Hulu will be adding a lot of library TV shows and movies in November, but there are only a few new major original projects hitting the streamer this month.
Hulu’s spotlight streaming series in November is Black Cake, which is based on the bestselling book by Charmaine Wilkerson. Part family drama, part murder mystery, the show features a globetrotting story that will cover decades of events after a bereaved family find a flash drive that contains some shocking secrets about the hidden history of their late matriarch.
Also dropping on Hulu this month is the original film Quiz Lady, starring Sandra Oh, Awkwafina, Jason Schwartzman,...

Actor and comedian Ken Jeong, who is currently a judge on Fox’s “The Masked Singer,” is developing a talk show with an eye toward a 2024 launch, according to media reports on Friday.
He taped a test show in New York on Friday, Deadline reported. That’s not a SAG strike violation as talk show hosts are under a different contract and no longer a WGA red flag — as it was for Drew Barrymore and Bill Maher — as writers have gone back to work after successfully negotiating a new contract with the AMPTP.
Jim Biederman of “The Kids in the Hall” will serve as showrunner, writer and director. He’ll also executive produce alongside Jeong for Debmar-Mercury, the company behind “The Wendy Williams Show” and “The Nick Cannon Show.”
Prior to joining “The Masked Singer,” Jeong starred in the ABC sitcom “Dr. Ken.” He also played Ben Chang on NBC...

"It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" has some hilarious dialogue, but the physical comedy is a huge highlight of the series. From Frank falling out of a window to Dee's constant retching, some of the most memorable moments of the show are totally silent. Charlie Day might have starred as a silent comic in "Fool's Paradise," but the real slapstick artist of the group is Kaitlin Olson, who plays the intolerable Sweet Dee.
Olson has proven time and time again that there's no line she won't cross for a good joke, even if it means putting herself in physical danger. In fact, one of Dee's biggest moments of physical comedy was filmed while Olson was well into her first pregnancy — and it may have caused some permanent damage to her stomach.

The musical episode of "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" came from a pretty unexpected place. Widely regarded as one of the best episodes of the 16-season sitcom, "The Nightman Cometh" was such a hit the gang even performed the show live. The musical's unforgettable original songs were written over several stages, but the one that inspired the rest was "Dayman," the hero's theme, which was actually written for a different episode.
Charlie Day's character is the one to conceive of the musical on the show, and the actor was also the force behind the episode in real life. He was always interested in making a musical episode of the series, but his co-creators felt that they couldn't just make a musical for no reason — the character needed a clear motivation for writing and producing something of such great effort. No one on this show does anything without ulterior motives,...

"It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" is first and foremost about drinking, and perhaps no other episode showcases the gang's talents for knocking back cold ones quite like "The Gang Beats Boggs." In the season 10 premiere, the Paddy's Pub proprietors take a plane ride with the sole intention of beating the record for most beers consumed on a plane, a record set by former Red Sox third baseman Wade Boggs. The actual number of beers he drank is the subject of much debate, as is touched upon in the episode, but the Hall-of-Famer revealed the real number to series co-creator and star Charlie Day.
The idea for the episode spawned from the real-life legend of Boggs' triumph, revealed co-creator and star Glenn Howerton. "I think somebody was talking about the legend of Wade Boggs and how he drank [a lot of] beers on a cross-country flight, and we realized it would be a great...

The cast of "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" have been working together for years. Half of the members of this tight-knit group are married to each other, but these boundary-pushing comedians have no qualms about their characters sleeping with people that aren't played by their spouses. However, things did get a little strange while shooting Dee and Charlie's romantic tryst in season 10. Kaitlin Olson, who plays Dee Reynolds, has been married to showrunner and co-star Rob McElhenney for over a decade. His co-creator and co-star Charlie Day is married to Mary Elizabeth Ellis, who plays the object of his character's affection, The Waitress. It was an awkward day on set, but the person who felt the most uncomfortable with the scene might surprise fans.

The cast of Black Bird features major Hollywood actors and familiar faces in nearly every role. The Apple TV Plus original miniseries is based on disgraced footballer James "Jimmy" Keene's autobiographical book In with the Devil: A Fallen Hero, a Serial Killer, and a Dangerous Bargain for Redemption, and follows Jimmy's time in prison where he is offered freedom if he can get a confession from a suspected serial killer. Black Bird is a suspenseful thriller that induces the same sort of tension as other well-known informant stories and hearkens back to some of the great based-on-a-true-story crime dramas of the past.
Black Bird was an immediate success with critics and audiences alike and managed to earn an impressively high score of 97% on Rotten Tomatoes. Particular praise was given to writer-creator Dennis Lehane and his gripping narrative, as well as the work of the ensemble cast to bring the morally complicated story to life.

Now this sounds right up Jason Bateman’s alley. Deadline reports that Jason Bateman is set to star in and direct a series adaptation of David Gauvey Herbert’s Esquire magazine article Daddy Ball for Netflix and Aggregate.
Daddy Ball deals with dad-on-dad youth sports rivalries, but on the Long Island Inferno, two fathers, both with complicated pasts, took it all too far. There were claims of stalking, corrupt cops, and mob connections. Neither man was ever the same. Daddy Ball, which will be retitled for the series, has the potential to be exactly the type of dark comedy that Jason Bateman excels at.

It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia is the longest-running television comedy. Now that it's entered its 16th season, it's worth looking back to the foundation of the series. The first season had four main characters, and while the show was liked by the network FX, it wasn't getting the viewership required to keep it pushing forward. The creators were given instructions to bring in a celebrity for a central role to continue for a second season. The creators themselves had a few ideas, but the network used its connections to introduce them to Danny DeVito, who came on board and became a central figure on the series.

Plot: This year alone, Mac battles with allergies and long-distance dating, Charlie takes on his long-forgotten sisters, Dee fights for rent control and women’s athletics, Frank wrestles for his gun, and Dennis struggles to improve his mental health. At the end of the day, they’re navigating 2023 with 16 years of baggage as a few figures from their past rear their heads.
Review: I love It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia. There are few series that have managed to be as hilarious for as long. In comparison, many shows have been signing off after short runs while Sunny returns for a sixteenth season chock full of hilarious episodes that work as well as any during the series’ prime years. After a couple of seasons featuring hit-or-miss episodes and extended storylines, the new season of Sunny returns to standalone stories that highlight the various quirks of the Gang as well as...

From the Gang to familiar supporting players to all-new guest stars, the It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia season 16 cast is full of great actors. Whereas a lot of TV shows chart the growth of their characters, the members of the Gang are still the same delusional narcissists they were back in season 1. After season 15 continued the show’s successful run, It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia was renewed for season 16, as well as seasons 17 and 18, breaking its own record as the longest-running live-action sitcom in television history (via Variety).
Like season 15, It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia season 16 consists of eight episodes, with such titles as “Frank vs. Russia,” “The Gang Goes Bowling,” and “Dennis Takes a Mental Health Day.” The season kicks off with a two-episode premiere promising plenty of the show’s signature sharp humor: “The Gang Inflates” and “Frank Shoots Every Member of the Gang.” From the core five...

In her first proper interview since Walker Independence was cancelled (nearly a month ago), series lead Katherine McNamara notes, unsurprisingly, “It’s not the news we wanted to hear.”
McNamara had appeared on multiple podcasts that were released after the cancellation news broke, but they had all been taped prior. But as a guest on The Wayne Ayers Podcast (the full episode drops this Wednesday), she was able to actually post mortem it all, saying that “one of the showrunners and one of the producers called me” with the news, “and obviously it’s not the call we wanted to get.

It’s 2023, and slapstick comedies that are purely created to make you roll on the floor clutching your sides just don’t cut it anymore. Movies need to have a reason to make you go to the movie theater to watch them. Charlie Day understood the assignment in his 2023 movie Fool’s Paradise, and organized a group of funny guys, and made a movie where a child in a man’s body finds himself on the Hollywood A-list by a stroke of luck. The movie throws light on the shallowness of the A-listers and presents a directly proportional relationship between climbing the social ladder and a falling sense of humanity. A person with mental issues goes through a lifetime of experiences in a short time without saying a word, as the fallacy of society around him speaks for him. Here’s what happens in Fool’s Paradise that delivers a deep message in the end.
