Weird but that's what I like

Not the best, however well worth a watch. I love the psycho family / kidnap type films, this one could have had a bit more substance. The fact that after 9 months, the main guy still looks ripped, and the car that has been standing still starts...Well.

Give it a go.

Ok to a point

I thought some of the reviews were a bit harsh at first, allowing for the low budget nature for the1st three quarters. Routine kidnap semi horror, would end nicely with the goodies riding off into the sunset.

But what on earth was going on at the end. Absolutely inexplicable actions, inexplicable people.

Why was the guy always madly chopping wood? Did the demented mother figure get shot, I missed that? Why did Mary attack Amy? Why was Amy allowed so much freedom within the mad group? Who was the old guy and what did Amy say to that baby - couldn't really hear or comprehend?

Apart from that, fine, and one assumes the good family lived happily ever after!

David (Matthew Clarke ) wants to go camping in a Caravan. His girlfriend Mary (Angel Giuffria ) who is claustrophobic and missing her left forearm does not. While camping four other people show up at their location. Our couple ends up as their captives and used for breeding.

Been there, done that. This is pretty much the same story in a different setting. Didn't like the characters at all.

Guide: F-word, sex, nudity.

The main girl is a good actor i must admit but the film is a load of ridiculous crap!!!

A freak bunch of inbreds capture a typical ripped Australian bloke & his American girlfriend when their camping & keep them as prisoners. The guy is used for sex to get the weirdo ladies pregnant & the girl is held prisoner in a camper van & it's all so weird & crappy & vile!!!!

It's one of those annoying films where the main one have a chance to kill their captors but are so useless & DON'T!!!! Absolutely rubbish flick & i couldn't take it serious at all.

Another bottom shelf dvd for the trash.

Pointless & Random...

...are the 2 words to describe this film. After watching I felt very baffled as to what I just watched!

The film follows a couple in Australia that are taken hostage for literally no reason. That's it! No clear motive, no verbal or even remotely concise reason for doing what they were doing, nothing!

The film I thought was rubbish. A lot of things (including the main part of the film involving the hostage taking), happened but didn't make any sense! I mean literally, you were left in the dark for 84 minutes with no reason, no goal, no motive for why or what was happening! Why were the hillbilly group taking the soon to be married couple hostage? What was their goal? What was their motivation? What was the end game with them? And most importantly, what did they expect to achieve by their actions!?

Nothing gets explained & nothing is clear, you find yourself expecting a confession of sorts scene but instead get hit with more scenes which just happen, jump to the next scene & so on! Aside from that, there was little to no horror in this film at all. While there was blood I wouldn't count it as a slasher by a long shot & comparing this film to The Texas Chainsaw Massacre & The Hills Have Eyes along with the misleading DVD cover, is a true insult to those films & the viewer themselves!

Flat out pointless & random with no reason for existing! 1/10.

Eeeeee My Word......

Well......that was by far one of the worst most pointless prices of crap I have ever seen. There was certainly no story to speak of it was just two women jumping the bones of a tied up man while his girlfriend was chained up. No horror no tension n no suspense.

The acting was atrocious n the characters were abominable.

The ending was ludicrous n predictable.

I really can not recommend this so called movie. It was crap.

A PAY DAY FOR THE ACTORS

This is one bad movie.

Totally generic with weak, weak, weak characters.

Why the "grandfather" character?

The "mother" just shows up and...HUH?

Who would hang around a "camping" site when four head cases show up, much less have a campfire drink-fest?

Well, it was bad and what else can I say... UGH!

Not A Whole Lot Going On But Amy

My main genre of movie is horror, so I have seen my share of these 'slasher in the woods with a deranged family' type of movies. These kind of movies are made a lot but usually they are point less and boring, or at least to me it needs more than just a crazy person giggling and running around with a cleaver. This movie is definitely not the worst but it could've been a lot better.

The basic formula for a slasher movie is apparent from the start. The main character (mostly female) has (either physical or) mental obsticles to overcome and as the plot progresses, she deals with those obsticles. The bad guys have actually no reason to do what they do, but they are just crazy so that is supposed to explain everything and justify anything. The main character has many opportunities to escape and kill the bad guys but won't. And in the end we find out that even though the bad guys seem to have died, there's something that will continue the story onward, a fake death etc. Not a whole lot of refreshing story telling going on there.

I'd say that there a just few things that make this an okay film, and one of them is Amy. She is a nice add to the family of aholes that are the most bland bad guys ever. Amy's story is interesting and I would've like to know more of her. Because of Amy I give this a 5 instead of 4. Also, I do like the whole angle of the females getting impregnated by the boyfriend, for once the guy is the epar victim, even though the main character is depar once.

Low budget movie, but good to watch

I like these types of movie horrors. It's low budget movie and I am always happy to buy and support them. You cannot expecting top but is good to watch. I can reccomend this movie.

Really original!

I don't know where the hate is coming from, this flick has a super original premise (like wtf?!) and is paced really well. Never a dull moment and lots of twists and jumps. The acting is really good, all the actors killed it. There was a small plot hole in the third act, but they made it work.

A young couple head out to the wilderness for a mini-holiday and are mildly inconvenienced when a family of siblings arrive to have their own camping trip, right beside them in the woods. They are not nice people, as it turns out. It's weird, it's campy, it's unpredictable. It's a great lark.

Some nice ironic nods to the Manson family, good use is made of space, the camera work and direction are great. I think people just hate low budget movies. Thing is ... budget doesn't show in this movie. I highly recommend!

Ups and downs but decent

Could have been better, could have been worse. Storyline was interesting and definitely had a lot of unique ideas that worked well. Acting was surprisingly good for low budget horror. It kept me interested all the way through. If you're looking for something to watch. I'd give it a 6.5 but no half points on IMDb ratings. There were a couple of places in the movie that kind of felt forced in. (The mother reveal). But overall the story was cohesive. My favourite performance was definitely Amy, the actress knocked it out of the park. As an added bonus the boyfriend is super hot. All in all it's worth a watch.

Decent film

The overall premise for this film (main characters camping in the middle of nowhere, psychopathic family captures them) is not new at all, but this film has its own original take on that idea. For a horror film, especially a low-budget one, it has some decent acting.

The camera work is great, the lighting is good, sound editing pretty good as well. The music is well chosen, not overdone or overly dramatic, it does what it's supposed to.

There were a few things I didn't quite get in this film. First of all, I don't understand why Mary suddenly attacks Amy, whom she had developed a nice relationship with, and who seemed to be the 'odd' one out in the killer family, not wanting to be like the rest. Marry attacking her all of a sudden seemed pointless, and it is not explained why she does so. I really wanted Amy to get out of there with Mary and David.

Secondly, the mother appearing with ~15 minutes left of the film seemed like a weird and pointless introduction, not contributing much to the plot. I guess the idea was to explain why her weirdo kids had become the way they were, but it didn't add anything.

Also, what's up with the grandpa? He's just there.

Anyway, decent film, by no means a "wow" experience, nothing too unpredictable (except, for me, Amy turning out to be a more or less good person), but definitely worth a watch. No jump scares or gore, which I'd expected after reading about it, but it didn't need that, to be honest. I'm glad I watched this film.

Pretty darn good.

I thought it was great. I love camping horror movies. I'm not a movie snob though. I really like low budget horror movies and this one was done right. I definitely recommend. It's on tubi.
