Freeform is bringing Project Runway back for its 21st season in 2025, and the show’s original star, Heidi Klum, is set to return to host alongside other famous names from the original series. The hit fashion reality competition show will return this summer with a new host and judges. The revival began production as of Monday, March 24, according to Disney, and will be billed as Project Runway Season 21. Here’s what we do know so far about the new iteration of Project Runway. Who are the hosts and judges of the Project Runway 2025 revival? Klum will host the show, with the original show’s biggest winner, Christian Siriano (who won Season 4), as a mentor for the contestants, the role previously held by Gunn.

I know I speak for many when I say there was a hole in my heart when Heidi Klum and Tim Gunn left ‘Project: Runway’, but there have been attempts to revive the format. Reboot seasons of the show that don’t include the original hosts, and ‘Making the Cut’, Heidi and Tim’s updated spin on the format for Amazon Prime, both made valiant efforts to recapture that audience, but ‘Dress My Tour’ pulls out all the stops. Breaks from the usual pattern of reality show editing, thoughtful choices in guest artists, and full-on musical performances on the runway make ‘Dress My Tour’ stand out from the pack, without sacrificing the design and gossip audiences crave in a fashion competition show. In Hulu’s new reality competition hosted by Kate Upton, 11 fashion designers square off to create larger-than-life looks for icons of the music industry. From Paula Abdul to Jojo Siwa,...

This year, for the fifth time in Emmys history, the number of nomination slots in the Best Reality Host category has decreased from six to five. Although all but one of the four previous cases resulted in full slates of immediate repeat nominees, Gold Derby’s users have come to a solid consensus that, this time, only four 2022 contenders will return and that they will be joined by first-timer Alan Cumming (“The Traitors”). Given the boldness of this prediction in such an instance, the idea of a previously nominated but long ignored host making a comeback should also be explored, since that outcome is statistically just as likely.
Cumming sits in fifth place on our odds-based predictions list behind seven-time consecutive winner RuPaul (“RuPaul’s Drag Race”), the “Queer Eye” quintet, Nicole Byer (“Nailed It!”) and Padma Lakshmi (“Top Chef”). Despite having precedent in their favor, the six-person “Shark Tank” team...

“During ‘Making the Cut’ we didn’t have this much time. We had one day, seven hours, two days max to create our looks. And this was never enough time to do actually something tailored, like properly tailored,” says “Making the Cut” winner Yannik Zamboni. Since the designers had four weeks to create their 10-look collections for the “Finale,” he wanted to show that side of his creative ability. “And that’s why I came up with the idea to do a tailored collection.” Watch our exclusive video interview with Zamboni above.
See‘Making the Cut’ season 3 finale recap: Who became the next great global brand?
Known for designing in all-white, Zamboni incorporated colors and prints into his final collection, which impressed the judges with his originality in interpreting tailored menswear for a variety of bodies, genders, and styles, helping him overtake fellow finalists Rafael Chaouiche and Georgia Hardinge. That...

It was sad to see Jeanette Limas go after the “Concept Store” assignment on “Making the Cut,” especially because it meant she wouldn’t be able to show the 10-look collection she designed. After they put so much work into their collections, I think all four should’ve gotten the chance to show them off, but alas, I didn’t get a vote. We did end up with three stellar finalists, though: Rafael Chaouiche, Georgia Hardinge, and Yannik Zamboni. Which of them was named the next great global brand in “Finale”?

By now the designers have already mostly completed their work on their final collections: 10 looks, including at least four accessible looks and two menswear pieces. But that’s not all. Before becoming the next great global fashion brand, they’re going to...

The elimination of Markantoine Lynch-Boisvert from “Making the Cut” in the episode “Social Media Content” surprised no one more than Markantoine himself, who didn’t think he should have been sent home. But despite his protestations the competition moved on with its final four: Rafael Chaouiche, Georgia Hardinge, Jeanette Limas, and Yannik Zamboni. But those semifinalists had one big task standing between them and the finale. So what happened in “Concept Store”?
See‘Making the Cut’ season 3 episode 6 recap: ‘Social Media Content’ brought out the designers’ inner influencers Assigment
No more one-day or two-day tasks. This was the big one. They would have four weeks to create their 10-look final collections, but not everyone would get to show those collections during the last fashion show. First they would work with “Making the Cut’s” production design team to construct their own concept stores that would represent their brands. They would...
