- The Rangers need the help of an unlikely ally when their technology is infected with a computer virus.
- Typeface the keyboard monster struggles to infect Power Ranger technology with a potent computer virus to shut down their weapon systems. Meanwhile, Brody's martial arts student, computer geek Emma, thinks her fledgling skills strong enough to fight alongside the Rangers. Elsewhere, Victor, aided by Monty, aims to win the school year's Technology Trophy.—statmanjeff
- Student Emma Harris finishes consolidating all of Summer Cove High's information into the school database just in time for Brody's karate lesson. Since it's Technology Week, Principal Hastings openly states that this'll probably earn Emma this year's technology trophy. Victor Vincent, still seeking a fiftieth trophy to round out his trophy count, overhears. Principal Hastings overhears Victor say "trophy" to Monty and adds that, since it's Technology Week, she'll hand out the trophy tomorrow. Victor and Monty begin brainstorming for an invention.
On the docks, Brody teaches the basic positions in sword fighting to Emma. As they finish up, Emma expresses her goal: to be as good at sword fighting as the Power Rangers. How can she repay him? Fix the glitch in his phone. Suddenly, Typeface surprises them and chest-kicks Brody backwards onto his butt. Brody rises, sends Emma to find safety, then transforms into the Red Ranger to fight Typeface.
Within the secret Ninja Steel Base, Redbot exclaims that their wireless connections between weapons and computer work perfectly, which concludes their weapons checks. Red Ranger calls in to rationally report that he's been jumped by a monster at the docks. The Ranger teens quickly head out to his aid.
The other Rangers arrive at the docks, where Typeface calls up six Basherbots to bash them all. It's one-on-one (except for Pink Ranger who handles two). Gold Ranger defeats his Basherbot to run to Red's defense, taking over the fight against Typeface. As Typeface is pushed back, Red and Gold fight four Basherbots. Red downs his two foes then runs to assist the other Rangers.
Pink Ranger now has four foes, which she starts to Arrow Blast. Red Ranger hacks his way into a crowd of six Basherbots. Now Blue, Pink, Yellow, White and Red Rangers battle six Basherbots.
Gold Ranger (having defeated, killed or scared off his two Basherbot foes off-camera) handles Typeface alone. Gold fries Typeface's motherboard with a Rockstorm Blast, knocking Typeface on his butt. Typeface cries out in anger and teleports away.
With Typeface gone, the Rangers hack down the remaining Basherbots, unaware of a workman filming them. Emma appears and decides to help them by attacking the Basherbots with her wooden sword. Swinging with her eyes shut, Emma thinks she's struck down a Basherbot (one that's already discombobulated by blasts from Blue and Pink Rangers). Encouraged by this, she runs to bring down more that are fighting the Yellow Ranger. She swings at another Basherbot, this one already discombobulated by the Yellow Ranger. It explodes, and Emma, opening her eyes, is again encouraged. She swings before another dying Basherbot, brought low by the Pink Ranger.
The fight is over now, and the Rangers surround Emma to ask what she think she's doing. Emma misunderstands them to think they're inviting her to join them in their next fight. As a call summons her from the area, Gold tells Red he needs to find a way to tell her that what she's doing is dangerous.
On the Warrior Dome, Madam Odius berates Typeface for failing his mission to infect the Rangers with his computer virus. She assigns Badonna to accompany him and make sure he doesn't fail again.
In the high school student area, Monty and Victor test their new invention - Shot-bot. Meant to sink pool balls on the billiard table, the balls fly across the room, disturbing students trying to eat while shooting Victor in the forehead and Monty in the chest. To stop it, Victor smashes the errant machine with a pool cue. Monty will have think of something else, but right now it's "burger time." They bite into then spit out their food. Monty declares that a robot with no taste buds could cook better food than the Snack Shop, giving Victor the idea to create a robot chef as their next invention.
As fight footage of the latest Ranger altercation hits the Internet, Emma becomes famous, with classmates seeking her autograph as the Ranger teens look on, aghast.
Emma returns Brody's phone, all fixed, and discontinues her lessons with him as she's "gotten so good."
Mick calls in to report Buzz-Cam activity downtown.
Downtown, the Ranger teens face Typeface. They transform and Badonna calls for Basherbot reinforcements. Six appear. Red Ranger handles Badonna while Blue and Gold take on Typeface. Badonna uses a Dart Blast to knock White, Yellow, Pink and Red Rangers to their butts. Badonna feels she can destroy these four herself, but Emma runs out to protect them. The wooden sword luckily deflects Badonna's blast, but the blast fractures and burns it. Badonna fires again, which Red and Pink Rangers rush forward and deflect. Emma is terribly surprised by this outcome. White Ranger takes her aside to safety.
For Badonna's attack on Emma, the White, Pink, Yellow and Red Rangers shoot both her and the surrounding Basherbots with a collective Arrow Blast. Burned and with Basherbots destroyed, Badonna teleports away. The four Rangers run to aid Gold and Blue against Typeface.
Still fighting Typeface while trading insults and threats, Blue Ranger loses his sword, which Typeface retrieves and infects. Gold Ranger kicks Typeface, knocking him on his butt. As Blue Ranger wonders what's been done to his glowing sword, Typeface teleports away. Red Ranger communicates with Mick, who tells them to return to base immediately.
Back at Summer Cove High, an announcement warns of a virus infection as Mick watches a computer display of Ranger Sword takeovers. All their weapons will soon stop working. Brody and Hayley get an idea of who can help them.
Emma enters the scrapyard to pitch her ruined sword. The Rangers light-beam in and Emma apologizes for her earlier behavior. Emma enthusiastically agrees to their request for her help and accepts their blindfold. Yellow Ranger summons up his Mega Morph Cycle. Emma is guided on and Yellow drives the two of them in circles to make her think it's a long way to their secret base.
As the Rangers lead Emma inside, Redbot warns Mick against her seeing him in the base, so Mick, befuddled, turns himself into a hammer with hair on it. Blindfold off, Emma is in wonderland. Spotting Redbot, she shakes his hand, says she liked his book, and declares she's never seen a hammer like the one he's holding. "And you never will again," says Redbot, taking Mick away. Blue Ranger pulls her from her wonderment to stand before their computers.
Attacking the problem, she declares the virus a nasty one. Fortunately she carries a lot of tools. Red Ranger declares her a computer ninja. The Buzz-Cam detector comes back on-line first, showing activity in the industrial quarter.
The Rangers find Typeface in the industrial quarter and spin their Element Stars to deliver a Ninja Fire Attack (aware that the computer virus may thwart them). The swords spark and puff a little smoke, nothing more. Typeface laughs.
With Emma working as fast as possible, Redbot suggests they try another weapon.
Typeface blasts the Rangers, knocking them all to the ground. Pink and Yellow Rangers try their Whiplash Attack, but the whip falls short of target. Typeface fires another blast, knocking them back to the ground.
Emma succeeds at eliminating the virus and informs the Rangers.
Pink and Yellow Rangers try their Whiplash Attack again, this time reaching Typeface to knock him on his butt and fry his virus injector. Seeing their chance, Red Ranger leads an attack to "wipe out this hard drive." With six swords against his bare hands, Typeface holds his own, fighting back with an energy blast. The Rangers counter with a Ninja Blast, turning Typeface into an explosion of fire. The Rangers cheer and congratulate one another.
On the Galaxy Warriors stage, Cosmo hits the gigantify button to reboot Typeface.
Giant Typeface rises, and Red Ranger locks in to call forth the Ninja Blaze Megazord and stand ready in Ninja Super Steel Mode. Typeface's Space Key moves him instantly about the Ninja Blaze Megazord to taunt and deliver blows from behind. Red spins the Astro Zord Star and activates its Ninja Zord Mode. The Astro Ninja Zord flies in and latches onto Typeface from behind, holding him up in midair where the Rangers can easily strike him with a Ninja Blaze Megazord Ranger Blast Final Attack. Delivered a fatal blow, Typeface falls, becoming a fiery inferno. The Rangers cheer. White Ranger calls out a thanks to the Astro Ninja Zord, and Red Ranger declares "Show's over! Ninjas win!" The Rangers immediately send a group communication to Emma, declaring her an official computer ninja.
Back at the docks, Brody practices his ninja moves alone. Emma comes along to say she now realizes it's too dangerous for her to fight alongside the Power Rangers, but could she continue taking ninja lessons from him? Sure, he says, since he owes her for fixing his phone.
At school, Principal Hastings prepares to present the year's Technology Trophy. Monty and Victor interrupt to unveil their new invention, the Victor-matic Auto-Snack-it. To demonstrate, Victor presses all of its six selections (nachos, meatball spaghetti, pizza, ice cream sundae, tomato soup, and cream pie). Monty softly warns him to take it easy since he hasn't worked out all the kinks yet. The nacho order comes out fine and Victor says not to worry, but the cream pie shoots out, splattering Levi in the head. Further food strikes Brody, Mrs. Bell, Preston (missing Sarah), Emma, Sarah (finally hit), and the rest of the gathered students. (Most are amused, but Hastings is not.)
Victor runs forward to ask if he'll get the trophy. Hastings, splattered with ice cream, announces the winner as Emma Harris, splattered with spaghetti. As Victor cries out in disappointment, the malfunctioning invention plats him and Monty with pizzas.
