I am the Air Force One Angel of Death

Tied with Off Radar for favourite episode so far. I feel the characters are really getting stronger intrigue and personality wise. Plus, it's cool to see Ben and Vance working together. The possibility of non-passengers being harmed by higher forces is also a very tense idea that makes me worry for the wellbeing of some of the side protagonists.

Passenger is a detective

Warning: Spoilers
How is all the staff in the NSA cannot make sense of what was in the flash drive? Their job is to break encryption, but a passenger can understand it, but no one in the NSA can. How is it that they NSA cannot get trace a call using specialised equipment?

Really Good [8/10]

Reaction / Review for Manifest Season 1 Episode 8: Episode 7 was great and I gave it a rating of 8/10. I feel so bad about the bulgarian guy, he doesn't deserve to be tortured by these scientists. Vance is up to something, what is it though. Vance and Ben working together? I like it. I didn't expect that Vance would be such an interesting character. It sucks that the guy took his own life, really tragic things keep happening. Ben is having lots of secrets, when Grace finds out, it will cause lots of problems. Oh boy what a cliffhanger, they are about to start torturing the bulgarian guy again, which means problems for Cal. My rating is 8/10.

Weakest episode so far SPOILER ALERT

Warning: Spoilers
The whole Tenspeed and Brown Shoe routine with the NSA guy and the dad was getting a little tired already. I mean c'mon, first the accounting firm doesn't have a log of the data dump from the last episode. Then security completely ignores Papa Stone when he shows up after hours. There was absolutely no suspense there. Yes I agree with the other reviewer here. The sci fi angle is being underplayed way too much. What caused the plane to be delayed by 5 years? What does the NSA know or doesn't know. The Stone family drama needs to go to the background for a while.

Point of No Return
audaciousness29 March 2019
Manifest's "Point of No Return" again borderlines on the absurd, giving us little to no storyline progression and lots of filler. How does Michaela saving a suicidal passenger actually progress the mystery in any way?

They're doubling down on the filler because Jeff Rake wants to turn what little substance they have into a series with multiple seasons, and it just doesn't seem like it's going to work.

Still only minutes/episode of sci fi. It's mostly about relationships.
rsvp32121 November 2018
They have prioritised relationships to such an extent that the few minutes of sci fi aren't intriguing, in the least!

They have bored the hell out of this series. I don't care about the missing passengers, anymore.

I don't care about the voices.

I don't care about the experiments.

I don't care about flight 828.

I don't care about the family planning.

I don't care about the kid's headaches.

...obviously, the writers don't, either.

I will confess that now I play Boom Beach on my tablet, while this is on in the background. I will watch a few more episodes, but I'm definitely cringing at the thought, instead of eagerly anticipating.
