Just why?
cdbruin2 February 2021
Uninspired, cheap, very low quality and awful acting, if you want to call it that at all. Complete waste of time.

A really good film to check out

The whole cast was great but the best thing about this Comedy/Horror film is the acting by Katie Williams (Elizabeth Gaynor).

Uhh?!
makrijevskivanja5 February 2021
What in the world did I just watch? Sometime you have to trust your instincts and I didn't, I read the reviews and I am paying for it. Just wander what other reviewers have watched?! Horrible acting, low production value and harisma that only a dead horse can portray. Stay away from this one like a plague. AWFUL!!!!

Makes birdemimic look like a stunning piece of cinema
deadforhope25 October 2022
I'll break down why it's so bad 1. The acting is on par with your kids preschool Christmas play 2. Every character sucks 3. Movies like this are why found footage movies are rarely take seriously First I'm a found footage fanatic who will watch any found footage movie once and there are some really well done micro budget found footage movies out there (children of sorrow, chasing the devil, ) but this was embarrassing I'm passing this on to Mike bill and Kevin at rifftrax to see if they can make it worth watching. Because honestly this is probably one of the worst found footage movies I've ever seen.

Say Sushi!
randelbnowell2 February 2021
I really enjoyed this found footage film, it really has tried hard to go somewhere new with the genre in my opinion. It was a bit slow getting to the "good" stuff, but once it got there, it was balls to wall the rest of the way! I'm eagerly waiting for the sequel to this one also!

How Do You Like Your Intestines Cooked?
mrobertlarson3 February 2021
The title, HUMAN HIBACHI, and poster should give you a pretty good idea that you're in for one gory, depraved ride. And on that trip, this low-budget indie really delivers.

But wait! There's more. Fans of dark, twisted humor will enjoy this one. I generally don't like horror-comedy, but it works here.

HUMAN HIBACHI is shot in found-footage style and off the top of my head I can't think of another demented gorefest that does the same. A couple films that the story reminds me are the excellent CANNIBAL FARM and THE BUTCHER (dir Michael Moutsatsos).

Is HUMAN HIBACHI a perfect film? Not by any measure. But is it a sick, bloody, fun 90mins? Hell ya. It's an entertaining film, ideal for late nights, that I'd recommend to anyone who isn't too squeamish. 6/10 stars

An original film
dirtbike-383743 February 2021
I enjoyed human hibachi. It has its charms and is a completely original idea. A film that takes on cannibalism as more of a fine dining experience that focuses on the preparation of meat. I'm definitely hungry for more and can't wait for the second film too release.

Realistic and appalling
ana-7516019 February 2021
The most notable thing about this movie is its aura of authenticity which naturally leaves you utterly shocked and wondering what your discomfort has been for. Is it about the disappointment watching humans so disgraceful and degenerate? Are their actions dictated by the primal instincts or the moral decadence? At the end, you are the one who feels uneasy and sorry for realizing that.

I'll take yellow!
TuesdayThe17th20 July 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Had to sleep on this one to see how I truly felt about it the next day, allowing myself to digest the main course. I came to the realization that I actually liked it.

This is a different breed of found footage film. A type we don't get enough of. I am a huge fan of the ff sub genre and this was sort if like revisiting the glory days of extreme horror. Yes it is a micro budget film with no flair but the execution seemed to be on point. The main character was not easy on the eyes at first but she grew on me and I turned out kinda liking her presence. I also liked how the director killed her off pretty early in the film, in a no holds barred fashion. It's like yup, we don't care about formality and we aren't afraid to be different.

The dinner scene between the sleazy men in the end is the best part as the whole movie is driven by dialogue and this was a time for these random "actors" to shine. They each did well with their characters likes and dislikes when it came to the main course. This made for an unexpected conclusion.

Now. If you'll follow me into the darkness. I'll show you to your next course. Would you like red?...or yellow?

A Tale of Two Films
tonyc-844713 February 2021
This one is a tale of two films the first half is a video diary of a girl's 35th birthday celebrations and the second half shows you when those celebrations take a turn for the worse. The second half picks up and becomes a whole new film

Horrifying, Unique and Creative!
beachblock4 February 2021
This film is quite unique in giving the audience a different perspective into the horror genre. You are guided through the camera into a bloody, horrific birthday that is just unimaginable! Looking forward to a second film written by Cerrito. This is a definite cult like movie/film.

Raw & Juicy
ddserpas3 February 2021
This bloody cannibalistic gem will have you drooling perhaps even have your tummy doing some ungodly growls. Starts out loving, ending deadly....on the hibachi! The cast is oddly refreshing as it makes you hate them. Quirky humor and lots of blood Enjoy!

Twisted and entertaining

Warning: Spoilers
This is one of very few movies I genuinely looked forward to and stayed updated on for when it released. There is always a unique feel when watching an indie movie that I love, and I'm so glad I had the opportunity to watch this. I won't lie, I was excited to see the characters be hunted and made into dinner. With a wonderful twist ending, I was at the edge of my seat the whole film.

Bon Appetit
sawcabin_2329 December 2020
This low budget found footage film wears its charm on its sleeve. It may take a little to get to the "meat" of the story but if you are fans of films like "Hostel", "Live Feed" and others of that subgenre I'd say give it a go.

Original and fun
IndieMovieLuvr2 February 2021
I thought this was a cool flick. Something different for once. The way it was shot and the story was told made it fun. Had a good amount of gore and blood and the dark comedy with the cannibals was a good time.

It probably won't be for everyone but if you're into no budget stuff that is def not mainstream it could be something you strangely enjoyed lol.

A very unique take and an ambitious script
kfedsuperduper7 February 2021
Granted, Human Hibachi is indie to the bone, but that's one of the things that make it the perfect Midnight Movie. That film that was on late night cable that you randomly changed the channel to and then couldn't stop watching it. That's a by product of good writing and a filmmaker that the industry hasn't discovered yet, but inevitably will. As of this writing, Human Hibachi has been picked up by Troma. A perfect fit. By the title, it may be indicative of what you're getting yourself into, but be prepared for plot twists, duplicitousness, conspiracy, and a really visceral ride of elitism and betrayal. You won't soon forget it.

A New Dimension in Found Footage
jswanson-166 February 2021
I Have to say this is kind of a New Take on Found Footage Films, and so I had to give this a ten for originality, not many filmmakers would be willing to take a chance on something like this. The human flesh looked quite real, and the acting was quite good! or, were they acting ? this is a Must See for True Horror Fans

Raw Filmmaking at its best
genobambino69-521-5654566 February 2021
This is one of those experimental "take a chance" films that pushes the limits and isn't afraid to offend or gross out the audience. I think back to the Texas Chainsaw Massacre and how that film was shot in such a raw fashion and it looks like this was approached the same way. I recommend it, but you have to go into it knowing that this is a raw no holds barred experience.
