Super Sexy Commercial

Johnny Depp is super sexy in this Dior commercial. I'm buying what he's selling. The entire commercial from beginning to end takes you on a short and sexy daydream.

Utterly pretentious commercial

Warning: Spoilers
Here we have a little commercial by famous perfume manufacturer Dior to promote their (then) recent brand Sauvage, which is of course French and means "wild" in English. This was released back in 2015, so not too new anymore. Anyway, the reason this has an imdb page is probably the involvement by actor Johnny Depp. He is a big star yes, but I just cannot see the really masculine, savage side with him, so this combination did not work entirely. His voice-overs weren't helping either that much is safe and they result in the audible side being as pretentious as the visible side in my opinion. No comment on the huge animal on the road. Or the shoveling eventually. So Mr. Depp (or his character) is looking for something invisible he cannot find, for magic. I hope he found it since then. I know I found nothing of quality or depth in these 80 seconds we have here. Rings utterly false to me from start to finish and it's not even a lesson in style, just a lesson in mediocre style void of substance entirely. Disappointing. I sure expected better looking at Jean-Baptiste Mondino being in charge here and his long history of music video filmmaking and the greats like Sting and Madonna he worked with. Wouldn't be surprised if this one here is his weakest career effort. Only watch if you really love JD. I give it a big thumbs-down.
