"Good movie starts after it's over"
aydinaykac27 June 2021
Kapan which is a very good example of the "good movie starts after it's over" thesis, a story of being trapped in the shadow of hatred and paranoia, starring nature and wildlife, awaits the audience. While watching the movie, which deals with the human-nature relationship through a "stuck", question marks are always in the minds of the audience, even after finishing the movie, some questions still remain in our minds; Did the man become the wolf or the werewolf, the ram or the real victim, or is it us, is nature more vindictive, or is it human beings? Is the island where the movie was shot a trap or are the people there traps of each other?

Although it is the first feature-length work of the award-winning young director Seyid Çolak, the film Kapan, which the director has proven himself with his masterful cinematic language and raises the bar of Turkish cinema with its originality, was broadcast on TRT2 this evening, I watched it for 1.5 hours without ads and it managed to make itself watch with its mysterious story. Only the movie had a sound problem, I missed the speeches in many scenes. Finally, congratulations to the cinematographer. The film, which takes place in Ardahan Cildir Lake, Beysehir Lake, and Isparta Yukaritirtar Village, especially Mada Island in Beysehir Lake, also offers a visual feast to the audience.
