This was part of a block of films at the Satisfied Eye International Film Festival and stood out among an incredibly strong programme. Equal parts earthy and magical, wistful and achingly true to life, In Orbit was a beautiful film to look at, expertly directed and with a strong ensemble cast. The script balances hope and melancholy in equal measure and in a story of two women in love it shares universal themes that left me still contemplating it long after the screening. I can't wait to see what this exciting writer/director does next.
