Siblings' chemistry works like magic.
actress_tw24 August 2018
Didn't expect this local comics adaptation to be that emotionally effective at all! Casting is superb in picking Peng and Zhang as the role of brother and sister respectively. Under the helm of Taiwanese director Fen-fen Cheng, the young talents shine with their sibling chemistry, which is perfectly displayed and elevated, and the chemistry works like magic...just like the magic of that birthday wish Shi Miao made in the film.

I simply like how the director turned this comic series into a moving and believable live-action family drama with a female touch. When fantasy meets realism in film, if done carefully, even the most demanding audience give in. And it's relatively rare for Asian films!

The first one-third is still relaxed and amusing, while the latter is somewhat mediocre.

Moving because true
bc-liu18 August 2018
Warning: Spoilers
It is a totally moving story. Two main characters in this story are siblings. At first, the younger sister thought her brother was a naughty and non-decent guy who not only always made fun of her like deliberately slowed an hour of her clock resulting in her lateness when attending schools and also who brought disasters to the family in which their father and mother were quarreling for a divorce. However, at the end, the sister turned out to find what she complained about her brother actually was just his merits, for example, deliberate slowing down her clock for a hour was for the purpose of preventing her from seeing the breaking down family truth. In fact, his teasing also played as an important tool to protect her. She found out all these facts by a majic which moved her brother to another family. It is always good to know the truth of your life when changing to a observatory position.

Pouring my tears....😢

All the casts are good enough to express the tempo of script. The script is extraordinary and heartbreaking for me. If you have beloved siblings or divorced parents, you will be heart breaking after watching this,i am sure. This is one of the greatest Chinese films of 2018.

A Gifted Girl in Casting
n-798032 September 2018
I have known Wendy Zhang for many years from her first movie After Shock directed by Feng Xiaogang ,which maked her the youngest girl who got bai'hua present. We have to recognize her as a gifted girl in casting, as the time goes by,it proves that the glory on her doesn't disappeared.

Best Chinese movie
ragadish19 March 2019
This is a movie that successfully stirs the emotions with the fantastic cast and simple storyline that do not pretend to be overcomplicated like most movies nowadays. Its about things that are not always what it seems like. Truly a tear fest kinda movie. Forget what the critics say. Go watch this movie. I promise you wont be disappointed.!!!!

Worth Watching
taznina-8876726 November 2019
This is one of the best movies based on the relationship of sibilings. The protagonists did great job, and the script was very much realistic. After a long time I cried so much during watching the movie. Although, the script, casting, acting made 'Go Brother' is a must watch film.

Most scenes are just repetitive
TheBigSick27 August 2018
The storytelling is just awful, with most scenes repetitive. The fact is that there is very little content. The plot lacks believability and the acting performances are pretentious. This is one of the most boring films of the year.
