Actor Chris Elliott and writer/director Adam Resnick have a refreshingly candid in-depth conversation on the movie "Cabin Boy." They openly admit the basic story was influenced by the film "Captains Courageous" as well as point out that Tim Burton was originally slated to direct the picture and how they were both surprised that the script was greenlit so fast. Moreover, the pair talk about how David Letterman took his cameo kind of seriously and have nothing but nice things to say about the other cast members including Russ Tamblyn and Melora Walters. They also discuss the film's harsh reception from both critics and audiences alike when it was initially released, plus how the movie has since gone on to acquire a sizeable cult following.
