Lotta Buildup To A Big Disappointment!!!
wandernn1-81-68327423 June 2020
I can tell this one is going to be lacking right away with a runtime of 68 minutes.....

So halfway through can sorta determine it's a movie about a divorced cop and his weekend where he has to housesit for his ex wife and look after his daughter.

Okay well...really I made it to the end which was extremely disappointing....

-2 Stars for a horrible ending to a pointless 68 minute movie....

I wasn't expecting something that was heavy on the sfx, and I was in a mood to watch a slow burn movie.. This was just not it. just another lackluster video..

No ending

Well made but non ending movie so waste of time watching it. Expected a "To be concluded" sign to appear during closing credits. Not very consistent, as he suddenly seems to understand, rushes back to crime scene, then later seems to have forgotten all that and doubts his daughter all over again. Strange drama.

Strangely good with a terrible end

I thought the acting was mostly good and the story interesting but the ending aaargh! Did the writer run out of ideas?

I understand that those watching have to come to their own conclusions but a hint would have been helpful.

Waste of time

I didn't like this movie at all, it's similar to another title with the same name, but I wouldn't recommend anyone to watch it, as it boring and dose not deserve your time.

This is a film that has gained perspective on how many people can possibly experience having been exposed to this. I think this movie has been underestimated by many but I think the script keeps its dimensions and the amateur actors does a phenomenal job. good work

Not bad

I actually quite liked this movie. Sure, some of the acting wasn't that great, but I think the daughters acting made up for that, considering she was a main character. The movie had a good flow, good story, and enough suspense to keep it interesting. Unlike the popular opinion of other reviews I've read on here, I thought the ending was just as it should've been, left open.

Good standard alien fun with an intentionally ambiguous ending
Robert-Mauro-128 April 2024
Warning: Spoilers
"Alienated" is a compelling science fiction drama written and directed by Joshua David. It tells the story of Frank Sanders, a troubled detective struggling with the haunting visions his estranged daughter, Chelsea, experiences. The film explores themes of family connection and perseverance in the face of the unknown.

The premise of "Alienated" offers a unique twist on the typical science fiction trope. By focusing on the father's struggle to understand and connect with his daughter's experiences, the film adds a layer of emotional complexity. This focus on a strained family dynamic provides a fresh and compelling anchor for the story.

Additionally, the science-fiction elements of the plot hint at an exploration of fear of the unknown. The film likely creates a sense of tension and mystery that keeps the viewer engaged.

One thing some think is a weakness is the ambiguous ending. On the contrary, I think it suits the story's narrative, as life is always ambiguous and about exploring who we are.
