It's a decent show, but some parts are ridiculous and annoying. Like when they could have escaped by locking out the killer and driving off in the car. Instead, one gets out, questions the killer, and then obeys the killer's command and gets back in the car. Now they're all once again caught.

Interesting idea, bad effects, bad writers. spoiler, the last episode they show the barn intact after the fire. Bs! A barnfire is usually to the ground. They had no phones, and fire men were all busy.

Holes, holes and more plot holes.

So many plot holes.

1. Why did Sarah kill Silas? Did he have something to do with her death? Does this leave it open for season 2? When he took the anxiety meds, did that help him see the ghost? Seems to be the common pattern except for when his gf took them.

2. How was Sarah killed? Or why? That's the biggest plot hole.

3. Can someone explain the grandmother to me? Her role in all this?

4. Why was the basement locked in the first place?

5. What did the pictures on the wall have to do with ANYTHING?

And those are just the things I can think of right now. This show had potential but it left too many gaps in the story.

What happened to Gran?

This was by far the worst show I've seen on Netflix. We laughed all the way through because it was so poorly written and knew exactly what would happen. And it ends without ever knowing what happened to Gran! I'm done.

Major plot holes bring down a great show

I really enjoyed this despite these plot hole issues, it's creepy and engaging and over all it was a fun time! But here's where the problems start. #1 Becca finds Sarah's phone hidden under the moms bed and takes it. Then when the mom finds all the kids scheming to run away she demands all their cell phones for breaking the rules. Each kid gives her their phone, 4 in total. Meaning Becca still has Sarah's phone hidden, but then in the next episode they are all freaking out because they don't have a cell phone to call for help....?? #2 The ghost of Sarah is supposed to be protecting the kids yet she doesn't do anything to hurt the evil adults, only kills Silas who is an innocent kid himself.....it makes ZERO sense!

Was excited to watch this series. It seemed right up my alley. But! I didn't realize they're commercial break-sized episodes. You blink and it's over.

This show is bad. Really, really bad. I feel like the actors gave it their best shot but the acting is pretty terrible all around. Of course, it might just be the absolutely horrendous writing that's doing them no favors to begin with. Full of cliches and tropes, unrelatable and unbelievable. Honestly I wouldn't even consider this one of those so bad they're good horror shows. The only thing this show is good for is making noise while you do something more interesting.

I honestly think this show has potential... but it's not why I'm writing this review I'm writing this because I can't believe nobody has mentioned about the guy wearing the mask!! Everytime the creepy guy shows up wearing the mask I think WOW!! He looks normal and why isn't everybody else wearing a mask!!!!!!😂😂😂😂

This show is seriously silly. Thankfully each episode is less than 25 mins long.

It's trying to be a ghost story I think with Damien from the Omen thrown in and extremely loud music when the next "shock" is coming.

After four episodes that's enough for me

I've been trying to find a good horror/thriller type show, and although there are a ton of negative reviews I found it to be pretty interesting. It could be easier to follow, but it's also like you're seeing the actions unfold as the characters do, and it makes it that much more freaky and weird. Only halfway through, but I'm sure the story will only get better towards the end.

I really tried to finish the series in order to give this fair review. I thought the end might improve the rating a bit, but nope, the whole thing is a disaster. The acting is so forced, especially the kid who played Dominic. Jesus Christ such a prime example of bad acting. The plot is just too predictable and at times incomprehensible. I haven't given any review the last 6 months but have to for this one to save some one from watching this abomination

Lazy Writing

Not a very good "horror" series by any stretch. Very lazy writing and a ridiculous plot line. How did the back doors of the social workers care remain locked but the front doors could open!? They easily opened when everyone got in! How was she able to put zip ties on all there wrists and not get overpowered by the 4 of them!!?? Lazy writing, that's how. Is "Sarah" was protecting the kids, why did she kill Silas, one if the kids love interest!?? I suppose if your into "teeny bopper" thrillers you might like this, but horror fans I would suggest you find something else.

Thought this would be some tween show, with light scares. However was pleasantly surprised. Acting, budget and story were way better than expected. Some good scares as well.

I had high hopes for this show. It sounded interesting but the acting is B rated horror movie level and the story itself just feels rushed and like it's missing something that I can't quite place.

I really enjoyed watching this show, it had a pretty good plot, although some of the acting could've been better. I also wish that there was more depth into who Thea was as a character, and how she became involved in this cult. I also don't understand why Sarah would've killed Silas, if she was trying to protect the kids from their parents. It just doesn't add up. I was happy with the ending, until I saw the new family move in. I'm confused as to why the house would still be haunted, if Sarah had her chance to reconcile with what happened to her in life. So all in all, I really enjoyed it, but it did lack depth and some things just weren't explained (or didn't make sense).

The only Unsettling thing is the acting

This show was truly horrendous. I love horror and I love bad horror... When it's entertaining. This was so far from entertaining I ended up *choosing* to do practice problems from a textbook instead of focus too hard on it. The main actress has this wide eyed dumb look on her face the entire time, and the lines everyone delivers are flatter than a pancake. It's a waste of time. Not even the "mystery" is worth it.

Where does all this hate come from? This isn't the most epic show I've ever seen but it was darn good. I binged it all in one day.

And if you think you know what's coming - I'm pretty sure you don't. Stick it out to the end for a big twist and possible set up for another season.

The rating is for the earnest young actors who tried their best to give me something to care about besides desert scenery. They wanted the ridiculous script to work, but that would have involved throwing it in the trash and starting all over again.

I actually really like this show! I'm 4 episodes in and felt I had to write a review and saw all the negative ones. I have to say I disagree with the negative reviews and think that people are judging it too hashly, The Unsettling is an entertaining show and had me gripped right from the opening shot and so far 4 episodes in and I'm still gripped, the acting, Directing and story are all excellent and I love that it's only 22 minutes and not a show that drags story along. Give The unsettling a watch and give it the support it deserves.

I mean it's okay

I wanted to like it more I gave it a 6 because I actually watched it all the way through. Great concept, poor execution; it's as if they packed too many stories into one and stretched throughout the series. There was no closure for plot holes. The only child was doing rituals and whatever he wanted. One kid got killed and his death was never revisited which makes his death even more pointless. Towards the end the show turns into the Geico commercial where there are ways to escape but let's go through the creepy shed instead😂😂😂😂 So the 6 stars is fair because I was yelling at the tv. I'm not suggesting watching it but if you need background noise 👍🏾

Scream the series this is not

While scream the series was another semi bad teen slasher horror show, at least it kept you imterested. The unsettling did not. It was boring from start to finish. And it didn't help that each episode was around 25 minutes long. I normally stay away from anything that has kids or young teens in it, as they tend to just be annoying stereotypes of what kids are today, and I should've stuck with my instincts. The actual son was an even more annoying knock off of Aiden from the ring, the main girl couldn't act to save her life, and the tough girl was useless. How 4 teenagers and a preteen couldn't overpower 1 thin adult woman is mind boggling, especially since the black guy was relatively big for the age he was playing. And who could take the cult leader seriously with that creepy uncle molester facial hair and glasses? I don't know what the writers and director were going for with this one, but it just didn't connect. I guess you could say this was decent background noise if you want to take an afternoon nap.

A few jumps

This was a pretty bad show. This series just didn't know what it wanted to be. A ghost story, a evil kid story, or a murder cult story with a bunch of teen agers thrown in. It did have a few jumps but the execution was not very good. There was a few times I laughed out loud when it was not trying to be funny. I watched the whole thing but it will not be remembered.

Good show. Was looking for something to watch. I found it in this show. Keeps you on your toes wondering what's going to happen next. Don't know about people not saying it's good. I think its enterining.Not sure what they could do in another season,but will be waiting.
