"A Kaingang village" - Yuri lives with his grandparents, members of the Kaingang tribe who preserve their traditions. Yuri helps his grandmother gather firewood and weave baskets. Grandpa Dorvalino studies in the university and teaches in the village. Together they made ash bread, one of their tribe's special recipes.

"Vacation on the settlement" - Cauã loves spending his vacations with his grandparents, in a Landless Workers Movement settlement. There he plays with lots of friends, goes fishing with his grandmother, visits the cooperative where his grandfather works, plays on his bike and rides a horse.

"What can photographs tell us?" - Pedro lives in the same city as his grandparents, in the mountains of Rio Grande do Sul. They decide to go on a day trip: see the house where grandpa lived as a child, and the school he studied in. To mark the occasion, they get their photo taken dressed like old German immigrants.

"Troopers carry stories" - Many and her great-grandmother Donária become troopers for a day: they prepare farofa, ride mules and stop to eat in the shade. Back home, they dance a waltz like in the old days. This was how great-grandma met great-grandpa, who used to be a trooper and explored the Cambará mountains.
