One is likely to have many thoughts flit through their head while watching Marvel’s latest epic origin story Shang-Chi and The Legend of The Ten Rings. “Wow, Tony Leung really is handsome.” “I didn’t realize [Redacted] was going to be in this!” But chief among those thoughts is sure to be: “Am I crazy, or does this soundtrack slap?”
Well dear, reader, you are not crazy. The soundtrack for Shang-Chi and The Legend of The Ten Rings does, in fact, slap. Marvel apparently agrees as it was sure to release the 18-track album the moment the film premiered in theaters on September 3. The soundtrack is available now. You can check out the full tracklist via Spotify below.
Marvel is fairly conservative about which soundtracks of its films it chooses to hype up. While just about every Marvel film receives one, it’s really only James Gunn’s Guardians of the Galaxy...

There will be a strong Australian contingent at Series Mania in France this year, including Jungle Entertainment’s Wakefield, Aquarius Films’ The Unusual Suspects, Porchlight Films’ Fisk and Lazy Susan Films’ Iggy & Ace.
2020 saw the international TV festival initially forced to cancel outright before moving industry meetings and networking online. This year it returns, after two postponements, as an in-person event in Lille August 26 to September 3, with an accompanying special digital program.
Series Mania Forum, the industry arm of Series Mania, is set for August 30 – September 1.
Dramas Wakefield, commissioned by the ABC, and The Unusual Suspects, by Sbs, will each compete in the Panorama section.
ABC-ordered comedy Fisk, written, directed by and starring Kitty Flanagan, will be shown in the comedy strand, while Iggy and Ace, an upcoming short-form drama series for Sbs On Demand, will make its world premiere in the web series competitive section.

Anne Hathaway, Tahar Rahim, Marisa Tomei, Joanna Kulig and Matthew Broderick are set to star in “She Came to Me,” a romantic comedy from writer and director Rebecca Miller.
The film will be presented to international buyers by Protagonist Pictures at the Cannes Film Market later this month, and CAA Media Finance is handling North American rights.
“She Came to Me” is set in New York and follows a string of characters, including a composer suffering from writer’s block who rediscovers his passion after an adventurous one-night stand; a couple of gifted teenagers who fight to prove to their parents that their young love is something that can last forever; and a woman who seemingly has it all who has love arrive in the most unexpected places.
Killer Films’ Christine Vachon and Pamela Koffler are producing alongside Miller and Damon Cardasis from Round Films.
Filming hopes to begin this fall in New York.

Exclusive: Longtime producing partners Sean Hayes and Todd Milliner have signed with UTA, which also will represent their production company Hazy Mills Prods. The company is under a deal at Universal Television.
Hazy Mills landed a pilot order at NBC for comedy Jefferies this past development season. It has been rolled to next season because of the coronavirus pandemic.
At NBC, Hazy Mills is producing popular reality series Hollywood Game Night. The company’s series credits also include TV Land’s Hot In Cleveland and spinoff The Soul Man as well as NBC’s Grimm.
On the film side, Hazy Mills produced their first feature, comedy Lazy Susan, co-written and starring Sean Hayes. As an actor, Hayes also is coming off a starring turn in NBC’s Will & Grace revival, on which he reprised his Emmy-winning role as Jack.
Hazy Mills, which was at WME, also has built a branding entertainment business.

Press materials for new indie comedy “Lazy Susan” stress “The character of Susan is a cisgender woman,” apparently for fear that viewers might otherwise assume star Sean Hayes is playing a transgender person. The fact that he’s not underlines this movie’s very fragile raison d’être: It’s supposed to be funny simply that a man in a dress and wig is portraying a “real” woman. Can that be funny? Well, sure. But is that alone, minus much else very special in the realms of performance or story or concept, funny enough to float a 90-minute movie all by itself?
Apparently not. “Lazy Susan” aims hazily between the sad-sack valentine likes of “Muriel’s Wedding” and something more satirically misanthropic, missing a target it never quite commits to in the first place. Starring “Will & Grace’s” Hayes as the title character, a suburban Wisconsin wallflower who makes herself...

Unprecedented times call for innovative measures and U.K. public service broadcasters are exploring a range of means to keep a nation in lockdown engaged.
The BBC’s extremely popular “The Graham Norton Show,” for example, will be filmed at the host’s (pictured) home for the first time in its 13-year history with virtual guests, rather than in a studio setting with an audience.
Speaking to Variety, BBC director of content Charlotte Moore describes “an ever moving challenge in trying to work out how to keep our services going.”
“We want to make sure we keep as much of our services going for people. Because, obviously, the need to feel connected, to feel you have information that is relevant to your local area when people are isolated either as families or on their own (is important). Particularly (for) our elderly audience, we need to really make sure that they understand what’s going on,...

Netflix has given a 10-episode series order to Q-Force, a gay spy half-hour adult animated comedy from Sean Hayes and Todd Milliner’s Hazy Mills, Mike Schur’s Fremulon, Gabe Liedman and Universal TV.
This marks the first animated show and first streaming series for Hazy Mills.
Written by Liedman, Q-Force is about a handsome secret agent (I role I hear is being earmarked for Will & Grace star Hayes) and his team of fellow Lgbtq superspies. Constantly underestimated by their colleagues, the members of Q-Force have to prove themselves time and again as they embark on extraordinary professional (and personal) adventures.
Liedman executive produces and will showrun. Schur, Hazy Mills’ Hayes and Milliner and 3 Arts’ David Miner also executive produce. Universal TV co-produces with Hazy Mills, Schur’s Fremulon and 3 Arts Entertainment.
Hayes and Milliner had been mulling the idea for a series about a gay spy for a long time.

NBC has put in development Exes In Law, a half-hour comedy from Speechless writer-producer Niki Schwartz-Wright and Sean Hayes & Todd Milliner’s Hazy Mills.
Written by Schwartz-Wright, Exes In Law is inspired by a real-life relationship she had. When Tess and Alex have an explosive break-up and vow never to see each other again, they’re horrified to discover that their younger siblings (and best friends) have been secretly dating and will soon be wed. Now, not only do they have to see each other again, they’re about to be family.
Schwartz-Wright executive produces alongside Hayes and Milliner. Universal TV, where Hazy Mills is based, is the studio.
Schwartz-Wright is currently co-executive producer on the upcoming NBC/Uni TV comedy series Abby’s. She previously worked on the ABC comedy series Speechless and also did stints on Fox’s The Grinder, ABC’s The Goldbergs, NBC’s The Office and MTV’s Awkward.
