Actually impressed with this episode!

I have to admit, Season 3 has been very Rocky minus a few episodes. But "The Raid" actually had a lot going for it and it delivered. The three story lines that are happening right now have me interested. Favorite things about this episode: The Raid scene itself. I loved that Riverdale was doing something different which I appreciated. The action during this scenewas well done for the most part. Some shots made for some really good tension and badass moments. The highlight of this scene was Mad Dog and Archie obviously. I just wish they could have done more with the action, maybe dragged it out more. That would have been soooo sick, especially for Riverdale. Another thing I liked was the Betty story line. I think her trying to figure everything out was really well done. I'm excited to see how that plays out. Things I didn't really care for in "The Raid" Idk if it's just me but I'm not a fan of the Veronica story line. It pulls us away from the other good things going on in this show and kind of ruins the tone for me. Yeah I get that Hiram is important but it drags on and it's pretty boring honestly. Alrighty sorry for dragging this review out but I'm happy to say I enjoyed this episode and it's definitely a step in the right direction for Riverdale.

Can they just end this gargoyle king storyline its a bore. I hope season 4 is better than this very bad season

Those meddling kids

Veronica has a plan to deal with her parents impending divorce. Archie has a plan to deal with the opening of the prison and help some old acquaintances. FP doesn't think the Serpents are ready to go on patrol. So Jughead has a plan to prove him wrong. And of course investigate reporter Betty Cooper has a plan to get the truth re the farm. She needs Cheryl to help. They cant possibly all can wrong, can they?

Do these characters not learn a thing? This is capable drama and there are interesting developments at the end. But all the above four do is exactly what the plot requires of them. Without ever listening to reason on the subject. Everything that happens get irksome as a result.

Hopefully the next few episodes will see them act a bit differently for once because this behaviour is getting annoying.

I actually really enjoyed this episode and I'm excited to find out what happens next with the gargoyle king storyline. it really keeps you on your toes. sad i have to wait until the 17th to see it though!

Good Episode Compared to Recent Ones

I thought that this episode was pretty interesting. It was much better than the previous musical episode. Anyways, I like how they introduced a new character into the whole farm story.

The Gargoyle King storyline is progressing very well.The dead people twist to the manipulation game at the farm was a good addition to the story.The half a month break should be worth it cause there are only a few episodes left to the big Gargoyle King reveal.Nice build up for the remaining episodes so far.
