Love is between minds not bodies.
kimmdonovan13 November 2020
This film takes us on a journey of a relationship that could almost never occur in real life. But just because they don't have a traditional in person relationship does not mean they cannot achieve the kind of connection we all hope to find. I am still not sure what is to happen to them in the end, but if nothing else they got to experience a time in their lives where love and compatibility were possible. I would like to know how/where these people found the time to know so much about the actual artists behind famous paintings. Jesus. Listening to those two was like being in an art history course I never took in college, lol! But I get it. Finding something in common you are passionate about can take things to a whole new level and make the person less replaceable than normal, despite the never ending plethora of singles online that some find addictive.

Good story and then another non-ending

I'm so very sick of these non-endings. This trend needs to stop. It's not fair to take a viewer on an emotional roller coaster and then end it abruptly with no resolution.

Rubbish
nowego15 November 2020
This just had to have been made on a very low budget, the hand held camera with one camera from start to finish tells you that. It could easily have been done with one long take.

I read the reviews before attempting to watch this and some seemed genuine enough, but please, this was crap from start to finish. Way too much super close camera work wrecked it for a start, who wants to see the pores of someones face when they are talking on the phone?

As you get into the movie it is easy to see why the main subject is single.

Give this a miss, not worth wasting 90 minutes of your time. 2 stars is being generous.

Really Fun, Captivating, and Interesting

I suggest giving this movie a watch. It's better than most romance dramas and shows you a different look at the ups and downs of Online Dating, Self-Reflection, and being true to oneself. I really enjoyed the movie more than I thought I would; so much so that I'm writing this review. Everything was Top Notch from the Cinematography, Directing, Writing, and Acting!

I'm definitely looking forward to what the Team at Cut To The Chase Films are coming up with next.

A Universal Millennial Romantic Experience
christiancastro-9164918 November 2020
I wasn't sure what I was getting myself into when I threw it on but I was pleasantly surprised. The story flows so well. While the entire film is shot on the main character, Ian, you easily get lost in his world. You feel for him as he falls deeper in love with every phone call and text message he gets from Sophia, even though he has never met her. It's something many of us can relate to and it brings up the realness of our digital age. Our current way of engaging with each other may be through screens but the emotions are just as real. Totally recommend it.

A Big Surprise
jaseevs15 November 2020
Stumbled upon this one and absolutely loved it. Subverted my expectations, and went in directions I wasn't expecting. The dialogue kept me hooked, and as someone else here mentioned, it goes to show that you connect and fall in love with someone for their mind - not just for their looks. Recommended!

Excellent work
allison9113 November 2020
This is a great movie that gives an honest look at how tough relationships are in the modern era. The struggle of the main character was super relatable--especially in 2020 when phone calls are all we have to connect. I love that this shows relationships are built on more than physical intimacy. Real relationships are built on deep conversations and mutual trust. Excellent work all around!

a complex, sensitive exploration - highly recommend!!

Nuance, authenticity, and longing are the first words that come to mind. The experience is deeply personal -- almost voyeuristic. In a time where connection feels few and far between, the desire to connect and be seen is heartbreaking. Complex characters, engaging plot, and great performances. ENJOY!

Give it a watch!

An intimate look into the struggles of online dating. ian is stuck, trying to find the woman of his dreams, sending the same template of questions to every girl he meets. You can relate to how quickly your attitude can change about something when you are caught off guard by someone new. You can see how it truly feels different to him, that it is refreshing, when he doesn't end his first message to Sofia the same as every other one he had sent to previous women.

Being caught off guard can lead you to do things you normally wouldn't do, especially when it comes to falling in love. Ian learns this the hard way, giving too much too fast, and this reflects greatly upon relationships in real life (lolz) whether it is one sided feelings, miscommunication, and setting up unrealistic expectations... When you are in a rut and find something new and fresh, things can move very quickly and have a snowball effect to get out of hand.

The amount of detail put in to create the online dating site/app, the profile descriptions, were very realistic in terms of what people actually see when trying to find love on the internet.

The camera work is very clean yet intimate, almost a cozy feeling. It is very easy on the eyes, full of crisp and saturated colours, you could almost smell the linen in Ian's bed in the scenes he is waking up to check his messages.

To describe the film in two words, I would say intimate & cozy.

Compelling story
amy-5-2624118 August 2020
I really enjoyed this film about the risks we take with our trust and hearts in our search for love. While it wasn't conceived in the time of Covid, the storyline is really relatable right now, mirroring a lot of current online dating experiences during Covid with shelter-in-place orders where it may take a while for people to meet each other in person. The writing, direction, cinematography, acting and the art depicted in the film were such a pleasure. Chase Hamilton Hinton is a rising star.

A real (no pun intended) representation of dating in 2020
MovieLover567818 October 2020
From the moment this movie started, viewers could immediately relate with Ian (Chase Hinton)... In this day in age, we are forced to use various dating sites and apps to find love and companionship. It is safe to say that most millennials have used one of the many dating services available, longing to find, "the one". This film beautifully and accurately portrays the emotions that come with navigating the digital dating scene and it is this authenticity which truly makes this film captivating. The storyline makes you fall in love with the characters as they deal with their relationship and the challenges of life. It is no surprise that this film has received so many accolades. Also- the original song was amazing!

Watch and enjoy!
