Pretty mediocre indie film
waxyvernix18 January 2021
If you look all the good reviews are from people that have only ever done 1 review. They are obviously fake. The characters in this film are fairly cliched and over the top. The main character acts so incredibly dumb as to be really cringeworthy. The love interests are quite melodramatic and corny. The ending is very unsatisfying. Now for the good part. It was filmed entirely in and around Cripple Creek, Colorado. I live close and my brother has worked there for many years. The way it was filmed gave a really good look at Cripple Creek and Victor. There were a lot of shots of old mining stuff and parts of the town that are kind of cool. If you have any interest at all in Cripple Creek and Victor, I recommend you watch this movie.

Low budget but very well done.

Warning: Spoilers
Think Guy Ritchie meets Quentin Tarantino and they loose all their money.

But it's a very enjoyable film, great dialogue and the actors gave it their all for better or worse.

Get past the low production value and you have a funny little story ro enjoy.

Dysfunctional family done so well!

This movie had a Guy Ritchie feel the whole way through. Big fan of the way it paced. Family dynamics between the two main characters was fun. For a movie that's barely an hour, character development was well done and focused where it needed to. Cooled me off to watch this movie in the beautiful backdrop of snowy, small-town Colorado as I bake in the Florida August heat. It's lots of fun and I even learned a thing or two about gold.

Fast-paced, smart with blood tinged chaos

This movie kicks into high gear almost immediately. With smart banter and witty dialogue, I had multiple laugh out loud moments in between the chaos and gun fights. Overall, for a low-budget independent film, this movie was exceptional!

In this day and age all you can really ask for is to not be bored while watching a movie. Glad I gave this one a try. Solid little indie.

Fun movie!

I went into this movie knowing it was an independent film. Which 99% of the time leads to disappointment. From the first scene I was hooked! Very fun movie! If you enjoy Guy Richie films or Fargo you will enjoy this movie! Fast paced movie. Shorter at 69 minutes but it is unnoticeable. I would have given this 10 stars for an indie film, but towards the end there are a few scenes that could use a little more explaining. For the most part, the acting was really good! Cinematography, sound very good! Editing was perfect! All in all a must watch indie film!

Raising Arizona meets Reservoir Dogs
heatherchutson10 November 2020
This film was a rollicking thriller. I know that seems like an oxymoron but it was funny, fast paced and had a story line that kept me engaged throughout the film. The style is immediately defined when we meet the main characters. To top it all off, the movie has this great Shakespearean ending. Check it out. You know how you can tell a film's director by its distinctive style? I believe that Stephen Morgan will be one of these directors. Be on the look out for more of his stuff.

The "Fargo" of Cripple Creek

A very impressive indie film with a catchy story, well developed characters, and a satisfying ending. A visionary escapist delight.
