Heroes of the Empire

I saw this listed on Netflix and thought it would be a fun way to kill an hour. Being a Star Wars fan I quite like the idea of the 501st and dressing up as a Stormtrooper. I was not expecting a really heart warming and moving hours viewing. What a really great bunch these guys are. It's not just about big kids playing fantasy, it's how much happiness they bring, especially to kids. Thoroughly enjoyable and a great insight to the men and women that have an affection for the world of the Jedi. The charitable work the UK garrison do is amazing, the joy they bring poorly children is so heartwarming. Even if you are not a Star Wars fan this is well worth viewing. Hanky on standby mind.

I am a relatively new member of the 501st Legion here in the USA. I have not met any of the members in this film from the UK, but can say it is true to the mission and my experience of the 501st. It is beautifully filmed and truly a moving experience that captures why we "dress up" as characters from a galaxy far far away. I highly recommend it.
