Amazing story written by Nisha Sabharwal, based on teenage Indira, who's found herself torn between true love and the duty to follow through with an arranged marriage. It's a romantic film set agaisnt the background of the struggle three generations of women in male dominated 1930's British India. There is mystery and mysticism in the story as well. Through Indira's heartbreaking journey to self discovery, long held secrets come to light as she discovers the strength within herself to break free. The film showcases the inner workings of an affluent, sophisticated, western educated Indian family, providing Hollywood with its first look at aristocratic India.

This story spans generations and sprinkles a bit of a mystical vibe on your typical romantic saga. I was captivated by it. Not only is the story amazing, but it was beautifully shot as well. Definitely worthy of ten stars and a few rewatches!

This movie was such a pleasure to watch! The entire cast really felt like a family. I wasn't too familiar with Indian culture and traditions during this time-period, but Draupadi Unleashed is able to immerse the audience in a timeless romantic drama.

I felt like I was taken back in time to 1930s India. Reliving the fabled love story and being in a trance with the characters played so well by the actors and actresses that I forgot I was watching a movie and not actual live events. The attire was so extravagant and the story was so intriguing. The romance seemed so real that you really pulled for the characters.
