Walker is an assassin, one of the best in the business. But this time one of the witnesses wasn’t as dead as they seemed to be. With his cover potentially blown, he needs a trip to “Reassignment Center 42” to be fitted out with a new identity, a process that he seems to be quite familiar with.
This time however there’s barely time for him to have his fingerprints burned off before the facility comes under attack by a team of heavily armed mercenaries under the command of Keates. Their target is Juliet and her protector Elda.
Director Brad Watson’s credits run more towards horror films such as Beacon 77 and For We Are Many than action, and The Siege is Nicole Bartlett’s first produced script...

BBC Comedy Director Jon Petrie has said his team would be “happy to talk” with John Cleese about the upcoming Fawlty Towers revival, as he unveiled the next generation of “very British” shows.
Cleese has already said that the surprise revival, which he is making with daughter Camilla Cleese and Rob Reiner’s Castle Rock Entertainment, will not appear on the BBC because the UK broadcaster would not give him sufficient editorial freedom.
But addressing a BBC Comedy Showcase Tuesday, Petrie described BBC original Fawlty Towers as a “legendary show” and said he would be open to discussions.
“We found out about [the Fawlty Towers revival] when everyone else did,” he added. “I don’t know if it would work for us and we’ve not spoken to John Cleese but it’s obviously a legendary show and we would be happy to talk to John if he wanted to talk about it.

Exclusive: Black British culture is reaching a “sweet spot” and creatives no longer have to move to the U.S. to achieve stardom, according to the creators of BBC comedy-thriller Black Ops.
Speaking exclusively to Deadline as BBC Studios shops the show at the London TV Screenings, creator and producer Akemnji Ndifornyen said cultural touchstones such as Netflix’s Top Boy are “accessible to our American cousins like never before.”
“Black British culture is reaching this really sweet spot,” said Ndifornyen, who played Mr Fergusson in Netflix’s The Queen’s Gambit. “[Americans] now understand that we’re not just ‘tea and crumpets’ but can really subvert their expectations.”
Alongside fellow Black Ops creator Gbemisola Ikumelo and star Hammed Animashaun, Ndifornyen branded the “one in, one out” Black talent experience in UK TV a thing of the past, partly because “we can go to the U.S. and come back with...

In Season 2 of CBS comedy “Ghosts,” Jay (Utkarsh Ambudkar) and Sam (Rose McIver) have finally succeeded in opening the doors of their bed and breakfast. But, little do the guests know, Woodstone Manor has quite a few more occupants than meets the eye — and they’re sure to cause some chaos.
“We have some stories about how the ghosts will affect how Jay and Sam do business now that they’re open [and] what role they may play in the B&b,” co-showrunner Joe Wiseman teased to TheWrap, when we spoke to him as part of our Fall TV Preview.
In TheWrap’s new interview, “Ghosts” bosses Wiseman and co-showrunner Joe Port tease more about what’s to come, including the new characters we can expect to meet and whether or not Jay’s fall through the floor of the manor might be his ticket to finally seeing the ghosts.

Does Jay finally have the same paranormal abilities as his wife?
CBS shared a first look at “Ghosts” Season 2 on Friday, hinting that after Utkarsh Ambudkar’s character fell through the floor and into the basement at the end of Season 1, he might actually be able to see the spirits that have been haunting the mansion.
As you’ll remember, Rose McIver’s Sam only perceived the ghosts because she hit her head falling down the stairs in the Season 1 premiere. In Friday’s clip (which is about two minutes into the video below) Jay argues that, by that theory, he should now be able to see them as well.

In Dmytro Sukholytkyy-Sobchuk’s Cannes title “Pamfir,” marking his feature debut, the carnival is fast approaching. His protagonist (Oleksandr Yatsentyuk) finally returns home, ready to do better this time. But when his child runs into trouble and there is no money, as always, there is no way but back.
With Indie Sales on board and produced by Bosonfilm, “Pamfir” is a co-production between Les Films d’Ici (France), Madants (Poland), Quijote Films (Chile), Mainstream Pictures (Ukraine), Wady Films (Luxembourg), Moderator Inwestycje (Poland), Studio Orlando (France) and Soilfilms (Germany).
“This carnival, malanka, is specific to western Ukraine. It’s like a game – there are rules,” says Sukholytkyy-Sobchuk.
While people sing, dance and fight, they also stage plays, returning to the concept of holy sacrifice.
“When it comes to this celebration, there is a sense of loss. You lose something and then later, it rises again. A bit like in Christianity or a bit like with our character.

David Mackenzie’s “Hell Or High Water” was, pun intended, a high watermark for genre filmmaking in 2016. The low-budget neo-Western became a critical darling straight out of the gate after it premiered at the Un Certain Regard section of the Cannes Film Festival that year. It went on to receive four Oscar nominations, including Best Picture and Best Original Screenplay for Taylor Sheridan, who has since expanded his genre credentials with “Wind River,” “Those Who Wish Me Dead,” and his “Yellowstone” TV empire.

The six-part (6×30) series, which will air on BBC One and BBC iPlayer in 2022, follows the story of Dom and Kay, who join the Met Police in the hope of cleaning up their community but are unwittingly thrust into the murky world of deep cover infiltration as they become part of a powerful criminal enterprise. But for the duo, it quickly becomes more of a fiasco than Donnie Brasco. Series was commissioned by BBC head of comedy Tanya Qureshi and is produced by Ndifornyen and Josh Cole, the exec producer for BBC Studios Productions. Gregor Sharp is the commissioning editor for the BBC and BBC Studios will distribute the series internationally. Casting details are expected to be announced shortly.

E3 Week’s best tradition continues in 2021: Activision’s next Call of Duty game has been leaked ahead of an official announcement. The new game, whose development is being led by Sledgehammer Games, is called Call of Duty: Vanguard and will be set during World War II, marking the first time the franchise has been back to that era since 2017. Every single internal studio within Activision is said to be working on the game to get it out in time for the holidays.
The report comes from Vgc, which has also confirmed that the game is currently on schedule to release on current and last-gen consoles, as well as PC, in November. Unsurprisingly, Vanguard players can expect a campaign, multiplayer, and a Zombies mode “set in the European and Pacific theatres of World War II.” The story revolves around “the birth of modern allied Special Forces,” according to the outlet.

It’s nearly perfect and utterly profound, a masterpiece — Larisa Shepitko made only four theatrical features yet this Soviet movie about the Great Patriotic War earns her a firm place in film history. Moral betrayals under stress, in the face of profound evil… it’s the human condition. Astonishing for a Mosfilm production of the time, the film equates nationalistic sacrifice with Christian martyrdom. Criterion’s extras tell the impressive story behind the making of this major Soviet production.

Guy Ritchie is set to direct and write the World War II film “Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare” that is set up at Paramount.
The film is based on a non-fiction book by Damien Lewis called “Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare: How Churchill’s Secret Warriors Set Europe Ablaze and Gave Birth to Modern Black Ops” and looks at the Special Operations Executive set up during the war by Winston Churchill.
The existence of the team was only known by a handful of individuals, but it was also known as Churchill’s Secret Army or the Baker Street Irregulars. The Soe employed over 13,000 individuals, including 3,200 women, and they operated using espionage, sabotage and black Ops tactics across all Axis-occupied countries during WWII.
Arash Amel wrote the most recent draft of the screenplay, and previous drafts come from Paul Tamasy and Eric Johnson. Paramount optioned the book back in 2015.

"All we have to do is keep the chip safe..." Shout Factory has revealed an official trailer for 400 Bullets, another jingoistic military action movie from British action filmmaker Tom Paton. The film is set in Afghanistan at a British military outpost, and is described as an "edge-of-your-seat, military actioner about what it means to fight for honor instead of profit." Nice try making this sound like something it isn't. 400 Bullets combines gun battles, epic hand-to-hand fight sequences and the banter of hardened soldiers into a lean, two-fisted film that packed with a wallop. The film boasts a stellar British cast of Jean-Paul Ly, Andrew Lee Potts, James Warren, Adele Oni, Steve Blades, & Wayne Gordon. Have a look below. As the year winds down, streaming services appear to be taking a step back, licking their wounds from this strange pandemic production season, and looking to a hopefully brighter future. This is all to say that Hulu‘s list of new releases for December 2020 isn’t quite its most inspiring batch yet…and that’s Ok.
Hulu’s biggest original title this month is undoubtedly The Hardy Boys. This adaptation of the classic boy detective novels is aimed at younger audiences and will premiere on Dec. 4. Then, near the end of the month, Hulu is bringing a new season of a show that is decidedly not for younger audiences. Season 9 of the very funny and very Canadian Letterkenny arrives on Dec. 26.
Hulu also has some recent movies of note coming in December including Amy Seimetz’s diabolical She Dies Tomorrow on Dec. 4 and children’s movie The Secret Garden on Dec.

When it comes to Hulu, the Disney-owned platform is adding a few holiday-related movies and TV shows, but is mostly taking the track of stuffing itself full of classic films that the whole family can enjoy.
This includes a bunch of the best James Bond pics ever made, like GoldenEye, The Spy Who Loved Me, Goldfinger and, the one that kicked it all off, Dr. No. That would be a perfect watch to honor Sean Connery, who sadly passed away earlier this year.
Other action movies you might want to check out this December, meanwhile, include The Hurt Locker, The Fifth Element, 2003’s Hulk and the two “Tom Hanks as Robert Langdon” flicks, The Da Vinci Code and Angels & Demons.

Pro wrestler Sasha Banks apparently got her Mandalorian cameo gig thanks to a plate of chicken wings.
“Professional wrestler Sasha Banks has followed in the footsteps of Dwayne Johnson, Dave Bautista, and so many others, making her (small) screen debut in season two of The Mandalorian. But it wasn’t just her time in the ring that got her the gig. It was a plate of hot wings.”

It’s hard to get excited about a new Call of Duty game after 16 years of consecutive releases, but a bigger emphasis on stealth in Black Ops Cold War’s campaign and a couple of enjoyable new multiplayer modes prove that this annual franchise can still hang with the best.
While part of the Black Ops subseries, you don’t need to be familiar with the previous games to enjoy Cold War’s single-player campaign. Alex Mason, the protagonist from the first two Black Ops’ games returns for a few missions, but you’ll be playing as your own created character for most of the adventure. After an adrenaline-pumping opening chase sequence set in Turkey, you’ll get to choose your character’s gender, background, and two extra skills from a “psychological” profile. These skills include perks like extra health or faster reload speed. It’s a cool concept, but...

Negative reactions to Call of Duty Black Ops: Cold War are already so prolific that variations of the phrase “CoD Cold War is trash” are currently trending on Google, YouTube, and on social media.
So what’s the problem? Well, as is usually the case, the issues are varied. At this moment, though, most of the complaints regarding Cold War‘s release involve content and technical shortcomings. For instance, some fans feel that the game’s campaign (which reports suggest can easily be beaten in a couple of hours) is bare-bones even by modern franchise standards. Others have suggested that Cold War‘s multiplayer maps are lacking in both quality and quantity. Many, many, more are calling out the game’s bugs, subpar visuals, and bizarre mechanics.
The theme of many of these complaints is that it just feels like Cold War was rushed to release before it was ready.

Call of Duty fans are only hours away from getting their hands on the latest installment of the franchise, the spy-themed Black Ops: Cold War, which sees the heroes from the original Black Ops game on the tail of a Russian spy known as Perseus. Series “heroes” Frank Woods, Jason Hudson, and Alex Mason will be dabbling in a bit of espionage on the orders of President Ronald Reagan. It’s clear Treyarch and Raven Software are aiming for a pure ’80s action flick feel with their latest.
Players anxious to jump in and experience everything Cold War has to offer will be able to do so very soon. The Xbox Series X and Series S are Microsoft’s next-gen consoles that will bring all-new graphics, faster load times, and plenty of ways to enjoy all of the games you love digitally through Xbox Game Pass, the Smart Delivery system, and backward compatibility. We’ve learned quite a bit about the Xbox Series X and Series S’s impressive specs as well as what the consoles look like. In fact, based on what we know so far, it looks like the Xbox Series X will be very stiff competition for Sony’s PlayStation 5.
But console wars always come down to one thing: the games. The Xbox Series X and Series S already has quite a few first-party and third-party titles in its lineup, including flagship titles like Halo Infinite, Avowed, and the new Fable. What else do you have to look forward to playing on the Xbox Series X?...

The long awaited PlayStation 5 is finally hitting stores on November 12th, along with a bunch of new titles for the next-gen console. While some will be launching on the same day as the PS5, many are still in the active development stage. Fans had assumed that these games would be next-gen exclusives, available only on Sony’s new console and the Xbox Series X. This, however, is not the case, as Sony has revealed that they aren’t making the full switch to the PS5 yet and most of the newly released games will still be playable on the PS4 as well as the PS5, with support for the older system extending up to four years in the future.
This move makes sense in terms of business strategy and benefits gamers worldwide. The PS4 is the fourth best selling console of all time, after all, so should fans not take...

Fans hoping to finally get their hands on Call of Duty Black Ops: Cold War will be test out the game during the free open alpha on Sept. 18-20, starting at 1 pm Et that Friday.
During the alpha, players can test out three traditional multiplayer modes — Team Deathmatch, Domination, and Kill Confirmed — across the game’s new Miami, Moscow, and Satellite maps, according to Activision.
A new mode, Combined Arms: Domination, will also be included in the alpha. The mode is described as a “12v12, vehicle-inclusive twist on traditional Domination, set in larger maps compared to the game’s traditional 6v6 play spaces.” Armada and Crossroads will be the maps included for this mode.
There’s just one catch, you’ll need a PS4 to participate in the Cold War open alpha. The alpha is exclusive to the PlayStation, which means Xbox and PC gamers will have to wait until October to play Cold War.

The beta dates for Call of Duty Black Ops: Cold War may have leaked ahead of an official announcement from publisher Activision. According to Cod Tracker and a Reddit post (both via IGN), pre-order listings for Cold War within the in-game storefronts for Call of Duty: WWII and Modern Warfare state the beta for the game will begin on PS4 on Oct. 8.
Activision previously confirmed that the beta will be available on the PS4 “at least five days earlier than any other format.” If the publisher is sticking to that timeline, that means that the beta will hit Xbox One and PC on Oct. 13 or later. It’s unclear at the moment how long the beta period will be on each platform. Traditionally, Activision holds several beta weekends ahead of a new Call of Duty game’s release.
As expected, the Cold War beta will center on the game’s multiplayer mode.

A new trailer revealed at Gamescom 2020 gives us our first look at the mission briefing that sets off the events of Call of Duty Black Ops: Cold War. A Russian spy codenamed “Perseus” wants to win the Cold War for the Soviet Union, but Ronald Reagan has a plan to stop him. Vital to the plan are the characters of the very first Black Ops installment: Hudson, Woods, and Mason. Also introduced in the trailer is a new operative who many confused for Robert Redford and Brad Pitt during the game’s initial reveal. The guy’s name is actually Russell Adler.
Once you get past how horrifying CGI Reagan looks in this game, check out the new story trailer below:
