Dylan in a heart costume steals the show

This episode seems to be getting a poor reaction and I don't know why.

Yes, you'll either like/dislike the emphasis on Haley's love life that I imagine will run all through the 10th series (I am watching the series via DVD, so don't know what's coming), but I don't think the quality of the episode should be maligned because of it.

There's lots of funny moments here, and although the Mitch/Cam story felt similar to one from a previous series, I enjoyed this episode overall.

This show used to be so great. Now it has been reduced to a teen drama. Dylan, Hayley, the other guy!!! Yuck! Please writers stop with this and give us some good comedy for the rest of the show. The other story lines were ok with Pritchett family and Mitch-cam family.

What happened to this show??? What an awful episode. Who's doing the writing these days? Remember when this show used to be comedy gold? Unbelievable story lines coupled with genius writing. But now we have this. An entire episode dedicated to Haley's love life??? I'll say it again, what happened to this show?

What has happened to this show? I used to love it. So clever and funny, even heartwarming at times This season, we have seen Gloria going to ridiculous lengths try to find out if Manny is gay. They have turned Lily into an unpleasant, acid-tongued adolescent. I didn't think it was possible, but they have dumbed down Haley's character even further. Just not fun any more

We are sick of Haley's love life. She become such a brat, and the show keeps filling us with that crap.

One of the worst episodes. I THINK there was 1 good Phil line...but honestly...when I watch a few episodes in a row...if I dont write a review right then and there, the awfulness just blends together and I can't remember what terrible scene was in which episode. Or really...which diamond was in which pile of dog poop. Lot of poop in later Modern Family episodes. Not a lot of diamonds.

And, I'll have to rewatch the whole series at some point to pinpoint exactly when Claire became truly one of the worst characters.

I wrote Haley off long time ago...and Claire got on my nerves. But at some point...it got real bad and never got better.

It seems almost every show does this. They take what was a quirk about a character and then that pretty much becomes the main thing they're about. Someone had said that they did that with Family Guy. Now that someone said that, I really can pick it up now. Hey...know how character X doesnt like that thing? Well in season 8, we're gonna turn that into overdrive and annoy our watchers.

Just watched this episode. I didn't think I'd missed any of them yet somehow, Cam & Mitchell have a son named Cal? When did that happen? They keep bringing Dylan back so my guess is that Hayley will end up with him, no matter what and that's ok. He's like the modern day Phil, geeky but lovable. I find it strange though, that C & M have another child when I can't recall them adopting him or having seen him in any prior episodes. Poor continuity on the writers part.
