- Selina Kyle: Oh, so this guy's the architect who designed Wayne Manor?
- Alfred Pennyworth: Yes, that's right. With the reunification, a new Wayne Manor must follow.
- Selina Kyle: And it'll be just like the old one?
- Alfred Pennyworth: Well, nothing is just like it was.
- Selina Kyle: So why are we looking at the old plans?
- Alfred Pennyworth: Perhaps I'm not ready to let go of the past.
- Selina Kyle: Well, if it makes you feel better, I wish I could blow up my past.
- Alfred Pennyworth: Well, maybe you will. One day, when you build something new, the past will always be part of it. As for me, now Master Bruce is grown, building a new manor might be my last great service to him. A home.
- Selina Kyle: And then what? You retire?
- Alfred Pennyworth: No. I will stand guard, as I've always done.
- Oswald Cobblepot: So, where to now?
- Edward Nygma: [shows the regulator] Well, I believe... we have a sub to catch.
- Oswald Cobblepot: How long have you had that?
- Edward Nygma: Long enough to know she'd never let it out of her sight.
- Oswald Cobblepot: And you stuck around long enough to risk both of our lives to save Barbara's? Or was it to protect Lee?
- Edward Nygma: Do you want me to answer that or do you want to sail away from here?
- Oswald Cobblepot: Bon voyage.
- Leslie Thompkins: I don't know what this is all about, and I don't care. You two need to get out of here right now.
- Oswald Cobblepot: Gladly. Just as soon as Barbara gives us the... What's it called?
- Edward Nygma: Pressure regulator valve.
- Oswald Cobblepot: Right. That.
- Edward Nygma: I should have known that you would try to screw us over.
- Barbara Kean: You only noticed because you tried to screw me over first.
- Edward Nygma: Second, technically.
- [just before the submarine launches, Barbara has a contraction]
- Oswald Cobblepot: Congratulations! Go to the clinic, go have your baby...
- Barbara Kean: What, so the two of you can hightail it off this rock without me? I don't think so.
- Oswald Cobblepot: I assure you, we will not launch without you. Ed and I will finish making preparations, and we will be ready to launch the moment you get back here with that little bundle of joy. Or, unless I should drive you to the clinic in light of your delicate condition.
- Barbara Kean: I can do it! I'm not that delicate. Remember that, if you even *think* about double-crossing me!
- [Barbara gets in her car]
- Edward Nygma: Very kind of you, to offer to drive her.
- Oswald Cobblepot: I knew she would never accept my help.
- [Barbara drives away, Oswald and Ed both cheerily wave goodbye]
- Edward Nygma: Should I start the engine?
- Oswald Cobblepot: One less passenger to worry about.
- Edward Nygma: No, two, actually.
- Oswald Cobblepot: [laughs] You are so right!
- Oswald Cobblepot: [draws a gun] Hand over the part, now.
- Leslie Thompkins: [stepping in front of Barbara] Don't point that at the baby!
- Oswald Cobblepot: ...What?
- [quickly lowers the gun]
- Oswald Cobblepot: I did not! I was merely trying to make a general threatening gesture with a firearm...
- Edward Nygma: But you did, though, you pointed the gun at the baby...
- Oswald Cobblepot: All right, fine, *I'm sorry*! Now give us what we want!
- Barbara Kean: [in labor] Oh, you think I'm stupid enough to have the part on me? It's hidden away somewhere safe! And if you think you can torture me into telling you where, *there is literally nothing more painful than what I am going through right now*!
- Leslie Thompkins: Barbara, you can live here. You can have this baby here. Jim is not taking the baby away from you.
- Barbara Kean: You really believe that? You really think Captain Jim Gordon is going to let a criminal raise his kid? People are already shooting at my baby. I have to protect him, or her. I have to be strong.
- Leslie Thompkins: Hey, being strong does not mean you have to be a criminal. Jim will help you. And so will I, if you let me.
- Barbara Kean: ...Well, that's just weird.
- Leslie Thompkins: I know.
- [They start laughing]
- Barbara Kean: [to her stomach] "Hey, baby. This is your Auntie Lee. Mommy tried to kill her once. Maybe twice."
- [they laugh harder]
- [first lines]
- Nyssa Al Ghul: Rest easy, Eduardo. I made you a promise when I found you in that hole in Peña Dura. And I intend to keep it. To give you a true purpose and the strength to see it through.
- Hugo Strange: However, I'm afraid this process will be agonizing and, unfortunately, quite lengthy. Apologies in advance.
- Nyssa Al Ghul: You're going to be reborn. And then you'll be the bane of the unjust. The bane of the corrupt. The bane of anyone who opposes us.
- James Gordon: What did Walker do to you?
- Eduardo Dorrance: When I was in Pena Dura prison, Jim, the guards played a game. They'd choose one of us, and they buried us alive. They'd take bets on whether you could dig your way out. But then they'd bury you deeper. And play again. I was the champion. To survive that I had to stop being human. I had to become something else. I became Bane.
- Nyssa Al Ghul: Go get Barbara Kean.
- James Gordon: Eduardo. She's pregnant. She's carrying a child. A child.
- Eduardo Dorrance: One soul's future weighed against the world's. Your concern seems petty, Jim.
