Cobra Kai still a kick
Fluke_Skywalker25 April 2019
Warning: Spoilers
Even as a longtime Karate Kid fan I still went into YouTube's Cobra Kai w/a lot of doubts. Doubts that were quickly swept aside by the series' brilliant execution of a formula that was both fresh and familiar. It was a tricky balance that the show perfectly managed.

In S2, we pick up literally right where we left off at the end of S1. The fallout of that first season is all over this initial episode and the track for an intriguing second season is laid. As w/S1, the most interesting character remains Johnny Lawrence. The struggle to find the better man within is the engine that drives much of the drama. This is of course complicated by the return of Sensei Kreese, and I for one can't wait to see where this all goes.

Great start for season 2.
doug-j-sibson24 April 2019
The acting was on par, (Ralph Macchio has some work to do as a Miyagi-type character, although I know nobody can replace Pat Morita), and some of the karate moves may be a little shaky. But the opening fight sequence was 30 years in the making, and if you're into 80's nostalgia, specifically Karate Kid nostalgia, this show is for you.

Johnny Lawrence is everything in this episode, his character development is keeping this show going. Decent acting and well developed storyline.

Rivalry to the extreme
Has season one season two plot is very interesting with great acting by machio zabka and Kove. Season 2 is exciting to watch keeps That 80s feeling with awsome references through music + vídeo and Opens a path to season 3. The Kids now need to step up to keep the franchise with quality. Great show easilly seen in a few hours.

Why do I feel like there is a bucket of wax in my future!

Great start, picks up right where the first season left off, it ties all the loose ends of season 1s finale.

It also perfectly continues on showing us Johnny's feelings about what he has turned his students into, some of the other important things it does are, show us the reopening of Miyagi-Do Karate and the return of the snakiest cobra ever, Kreese, maybe also along side Silver but that's besides the point. And he is back more snakier that ever!

AS CHEESY AS THE FIRST SEASON BUT EFFECTIVE
Warren_Scott-5508713 June 2019
IF THEY CUT DOWN ON THE CHEESE FACTOR, THIS SHOW WOULD BE SO MUCH MORE EFFECTIVE. THEY NEED TO WORK MORE ON THE FIGHT CHOREOGRAPHY AND CUT OUT THE CHEESY LINES. THE FINAL EPISODE WAS A DOOZY. LOOKING FORWARD TO THE NEXT SEASON.

Forced to Fight?
clclark-400229 September 2020
Warning: Spoilers
All the talk about being a pu$%y. Its reinforced when its said Miguel fought dirty by targeting an injury on his opponent. Its more pu^%y to choose to fight with an injury and expect people to take pity or feel sorry for you. No one forced you to fight. You chose to fight.

One thing messes it all up...
ruirebgamboa1 May 2019
... and thats ralph macchio' acting. I mean the guy just doesnt work, always look and sound so fake. Everytimes he appears one can almost see the director saying ...and, action, then macchio starts his acting. And this insn't just in cobra kai, it comes from karate kid movie itself. I remember macchio being so abxoxious that I found myself pushing for lawrence in that final. Still, this show is a great idea

Not bad
mm-394 January 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Not bad. There is some philosophical problems Johnny has with the old teacher. There is a cool fight. Meanwhile, Daniel is working on ways to destroy Kobra Kia. There is the high school dram. And the two teaching of martial arts. Well written, directed for a youtube production. Worth watching. 7 stars.
